watered at Longchamp last night(according to Mr Gosden)
Absolutely unbelievable. Watering “good” ground now.
I hope Treve gets stuffed now. That isn’t fair and it isn’t right.
October 3, 2015 at 12:24 #1211490It’s not but like the ‘draw’ very predictable

October 3, 2015 at 12:50 #1211576Officials at the racecourse have just said that the ground hasn’t been watered at all.
I wonder from where Gosden got this information.October 3, 2015 at 13:33 #1211643Just wanted to point out what an ass I am, for referring to
Treve as “him”, not just once but several times. I am well aware
of her sex, I think I was having a “senior moment”October 3, 2015 at 13:34 #1211654Gosden being a sh!t stirrer regards the ground…….

October 3, 2015 at 13:51 #1211676Big Johnny G playing games?
October 3, 2015 at 16:53 #1211879Chances of the same 1-2 from last year?
I would say pretty good as I have a feeling that the 3yo’s are not a great bunch. The big field, decent pace and drying ground are probably just what the doctor ordered for Flintshire. He clearly doesn’t have Treve’s change of gear but frankly who does? She might have been beaten a couple of times but for me the best of Treve is probably as good as anything I have ever seen. Hopefully, she will crown her career tomorrow with Flintshire chasing her home.
October 3, 2015 at 18:17 #1211997Maybe she will win, maybe she won’t.
Don’t think the layers will take her on too much. Even though im on GH im worried about the draw on good groundCant see me getting better than 6/4 on Treve in the morning.
October 3, 2015 at 19:23 #1212049What price do we think Golden Horn will be on the French tote…?

October 4, 2015 at 08:39 #1212948Golden horn at7/1 with Ladbrokes is looking like a bit of value. I’d have him over the second fav any day

October 4, 2015 at 11:02 #1213182Golden Horn will hopefully drop in, he doesn’t need to lead over this distance.
If he settles he places at least. 7/1 a nice price.Blackbeard to conquer the World
October 4, 2015 at 11:17 #1213207Yep, I agree. I actually think he’s better coming off the pace, Gosden also seems to think that too. But, I fear Frankie will again try to get him in a prominent position which could well make him end up having an impossible race out wide like Taghrooda last year. Would really like to see a proper battle between him and Treve, but the draw may not allow that. 7/1 still an excellent price.
Otherwise, for other each-way value, I do like Free Eagle and Found. In fact, Found was my idea for a potential upset for some time, until I found out about her draw that is.
October 4, 2015 at 11:58 #1213270Still some 25/1 on offer for Erupt. Forget his last race, he didn’t act on
the very soft ground and he needed the race. He has his ground today and stall
4 is perfect. If you look at his form prior to his last race, he shouldn’t be
25/1. I believe he has a live chance.Treve is incredible and Golden Horn is a wonderful horse, but neither have the
ground they want. According to the jockeys yesterday, the ground was faster than
good. Warm dry conditions today mean if anything it will be firmer.
Both are worth taking on. My main worry is New Bay.October 4, 2015 at 12:02 #1213271My 2 against the field are Free Eagle and Dolniya.
Free eagle’s the more confident selection of the 2,this has been the plan all along, Weld loves him. Won the Prince of Wales after an 8 month absence without being 100 percent and Smullens response afterwards suggested to me that Free Eagle was well undercooked for that race and had lots of improvement to come.
Then looked like he’d run Golden Horn close last time out on what might’ve been a bit slower than ideal ground. Still lightly raced and the potential of more to come and i can definitely see him involved at the business end.Dolniya’s a bit more of a hopeful selection. Was impressive over in Meydan earlier in the season before a disappointing run at Epsom when nabbed by Pethers moon before an ok run behind Treve and Flintshire. De Royer Dupre then gave her an overdue couple of months break after that. She came back and ran in the Prix Foy and looked all over the winner before tiring in the final furlong and Soumillon didn’t knock her about. The trainer/jockey combo know what it takes to win this and 33/1 is a fair price.

” alt=”” />October 4, 2015 at 14:45 #1213399Frankie gives the winner the run of the race from a bad draw and Jarnet butchers Treve, shows how fickle racing is. The mare had problems when they sacked him off her, Jarnet gets on and gets lucky, rides her badly but still good enough to win a couple of Arc’s Frankie would have won 3 on her…
October 4, 2015 at 15:11 #1213435Fabulous race and what a ride from Frankie!!
Found was unlucky not to be closer and Treve was ridden like she had rockets attached to her rear end.
And don’t forget Taghrooda was stuck wide all the way and finished third last year so maybe Treve isn’t the greatest ever but she is very very good given her ideal conditions which she wasn’t today.
