Arrested this morning on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Obviously, we have to be careful what we say here but the ramifications for the royal family are going to be huge.

And it’s his birthday – there’ll be no Pizza Express tonight!

I don’t think there will be any ramifications for the Royal Family. Of course sections of our gutter press and Reform will have a go, but sensible people will ignore the noise. The fact is that King Charles has behaved impeccably and should have the respect of the whole country.

He’s not been charged “as yet” will he, in my opinion most likely. This is nothing to do with allocation with the case in America, but has been welcome by them. Remember he will have the best defence but if found guilty he might be sent to testify in America.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

I wonder if tomorrow’s Constitution Hill race will cheer him up a bit.

There’s no way the dodgy bar steward is going to jail , they tried the gentle push to Dubai now it’s the full kick up the arse , I do love the fact they didn’t invite him in for a interview but arrested him on his doorstep , imagine the worth of pic of him in cuffs …

Have never understood the sycophancy towards an unelected dynasty, but Andrew is a convenient scapegoat. Obviously everyone in the USA was innocent…….

Agree, befair. While not having any time for the low life, he looks like a very convenient, high profile fall guy to me. I have little doubt that plenty of people from various walks of life are up to their necks in this filthy scandal.

    Bored with it.
Nothing to see here, move along.

I've stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains
I've walked and I crawled on six crooked highways

    “any heard from Blair ….”

He has gone very quiet, hasn’t he?

I expect lots of ageing rock stars, still revered in popular culture, often have sleepless nights about getting a knock at the door…

The BBC clearly relished putting the boot in today. The same BBC which employed Jimmy Saville. And the same BBC which employed John Peel, still revered in liberal circles.

Peel himself is on record saying “One of my, er, regular customers, as it were, turned out to be 13, though she looked older. It became expedient to move to Oklahoma”.

According to Wikipedia: “An interview originally published in ‘The Herald’ in April 2004 stated that Peel admitted to sexual contact with ‘an awful lot’ of underage girls…In 2012 Jane Nevin came forward stating that she had a three-month affair with Peel in 1969, when she was 15 and he was 30.”

Worth noting that the BBC continues to show repeats of “Top of the Pops” on BBC4 which prominently feature Peel. I somehow doubt the BBC would be similarly indulgent towards someone perceived to be “right wing” who had openly admitted to the same conduct.

Purwell it’s not boring , it’s the biggest scandal the royals have had to deal with , Jesus Charles could be asked to give evidence !! , No wonder William despises Andrew , they have to get him out of sight ….. Dubai

I would think the likely outcome of his status would be
letting him out, without charge, and enquiries will continue.
