While not having any time for the low life, he looks like a very convenient, high profile fall guy to me. I have little doubt that plenty of people from various walks of life are up to their necks in this filthy scandal.
This arrest of Windsor for alleged misconduct in public office is distinct from the Epstein sex scandals, albeit he’s mired in that too. Admittedly, the two might be linked in a tangled web
So, in the meantime it seems to me that it’s the enablers within his ‘trade envoy’ circle who’ll need sleeping drafts; and how far up the politicall greasy pole they go remains to be seen

That is the angle they are going to get him on, because I expect it is easier to prove.
It is a grave crisis for the monarchy. I thought the institution would be in trouble after the death of Queen Elizabeth II but I didn’t expect anything of this magnitude.
Having said that, I am inclined to agree with the opinions above that it won’t be fatal. The King could have acted a bit more decisively but I think William and Kate, perhaps more in touch with the fast moving media age, grasped the potential implications quickly. I think they were the driving force in stripping the late Queen’s second son of his titles.
I only hope all victims of trafficking and sexual violence – including those in this country – receive the justice which they have been denied for far too long. The British political Establishment can morally posture about Andrew Mountbatten Windsor as much as it wants but it is not exactly blameless itself.
Roll 2 charges into one by simply deleting one letter from public.

I think the Royal Family will survive. They have an obedient media to bat for them. As I said elsewhere, if Andrew is guilty of anything, I personally find it very hard to believe that nobody in The Firm knew what was going on. It must be incredibly difficult for anyone with his level of seniority to do much of criminal significance behind everybody’s back. But the official line will be that he did and the press and broadcast media will be told to pump that message out and that will be that.
I have to say having been aware of what Peel got up to I’m surprised his programmes are still being shown. Another one who got away with it whilst alive.

Of course it was known what Andrew had been up to; why else did they agree a 12 million payoff. But there is no doubt that Andrew has been the fallguy. If every man who had had sex with an underage girl provided by Epstein, including all the Americans, famous and politicians, had to pay the same amount then the USA deficit would be wiped out!
