Boz,how can I forget it,we backed him on the same day and I got half the price you got!
February 2, 2015 at 21:49 #503921Oi oi – 5 weeks tonight and the butterflies will be churning with the anticipation only equalled with the birth of ones children
or Steve Cauthen rounding Tattenham Corner cantering in those yellow silks with black spots, what a ride and one of us had his biggest ever win.The anticipation increases each year and this year the Mullins bandwagon looks like rolling on along with Jonjo’s and I firmly believe Mr Nicholls will have a cracker. Day One is all about Willie and surely this will be defining as far as the bookies are concerned too!
For me Douvan is far too short unless he is doing more at home but UDS and Annie’s look nailed on, add to this Faugheen and they could be off to a flyer

Nah thats
Reference Point
winning the Derby,he was never bigger than 7/1 all year for that Gary,I much prefer Steve Cauthen railing Tattenham corner on my 16/1 Ante-Post shot
Slip Anchor
and then doubling up on
Oh so Sharp
10/1 scooting clear of ‘Triptych’ in the Oaks on Saturday.Memories of a young Ante-Post Prince learning his trade.
February 3, 2015 at 16:50 #504002Ha sadly I missed the boat with Slip Anchor lol but had fancied RP all along so backed him continually and cheered the marquis down at Epsom
love itYou must join me in the Guards Enclosure this year mate
February 4, 2015 at 19:41 #504110Gord and THM: with the defection of the likely winner of the Ryanair today how do you feel about:
Gord: Johns Spirit? I’ve followed him for ages and I know you have a handle on Jonjos horses. For me, his love of decent ground and the course make him a huge EW bet, I’ve been backing him EW to small stakes for a while.
THM: How strongly do you feel about Don Cossack for this race? He is one horse I cannot have at Cheltenham despite his excellent current form.
Cheers
February 4, 2015 at 19:49 #504113Bloody hell I’m just praising you pair on Boz’z thread and now you are here in the Cauldron, the Cauldron where magic is created from years of secret recipes.Where legend is formed and Ante-Post coups written in stone will be unveiled like a Michaelangelo bronze,of course I have balls of Steel not Bronze supported in a Crystal Jock strap. Those who have witnessed the unleashing of my Sword know when I strike its only after many candles have been burned and in the gloom of this smoke filled cauldron filters burning embers of form, form so many forget…..I see a sign……
Holywell
.
I looked into my wizards glass, and i saw a ginger haired goblin with green eyes trying to dip a soup bowl into the cauldon. A little owl flew from a book shelf, and chased him away. The owl then morphed into a fella with an irn bru bottle, who shouted ‘what bets you got cauldron and what do you think will win the derby and do you like irn bru, also what you think of britneys new song’ ? before trying to fill his bottle with some contents from the brewing potion, which sadly melted the glass, and turned the owl into a 4 foot troll with face warts. There was also an old witch heard saying to a half-man half leprechaun " word ‘as it the king is brewing something in that castle of ‘is, tommy", before winking at him and handing him an apple with letters ‘TNT’ etched on the side.

Gary,I was never a fan of
Johns spirit
,his 139 victory in the 2013 Paaddy Power as a 6yo beating the very useful ‘Hidden Cyclone’ suggested he was a well handicapped youngster. However when a horse comes back a year later and runs an absolute blinder from a mark of 156 some 17lb higher, that itself tells you this fellow has Ryanair potential. What actually cements this is his run in the King George, screamed Ryanair to me.He’ll go there as a horse Jonjo hasn’t got to the bottom of and who runs well fresh,he looks the part and loves the course. He in my opinion is the biggest danger to the winner
Taquin de seuill
, a horse that those with short memories will discount.TAPK remembers everything!

Goldie,my old sausage,we do love Darren on here, you should read his tweets they are even funnier.I believe he has 1 million followers and he kicks off every night with ‘Hows my followers tonight’? Class he is!
February 4, 2015 at 20:34 #504130Gord: Darren closely followed by his strange mixture of food and drink lol
I reckon the master of Jackdaws will require to get a decent run out of Taquin this weekend

Not often I want to see one beat but I could do with ‘Taquin’ failing to see out the 3m and connections finally confirming the Ryanair as his target.Problem is Gary we’ve got ‘Johns spirit’ nailed on as a Ryanair sort,’Holywell’ nailed on as a Gold cup horse,’Shutthefrontdoor’ a proper Gold cup/Grand National sort so where does ‘Taquin’ fit in?? some still think he’s a Gold cup horse too….I honestly dont know but if he wins on Saturday its Gold not Ryanair for him.

I wouldn’t be that strong on the Don at all GDC. At 4/1 I’m happy to leave him run. I think he has been very well placed this season and the Ryanair trip looks perfect for him to be fair. The Irish horse I’m keen on, and have actually backed this evening, is Champagne Fever. He’s 8/1 NRNB with Boyles and that looks great value to me. If he runs he’d be the most likely winner for me.

He is awesome. I did see his twitter once, and from recollection he fancies half of hollywood and half of top of the pops, a third of holyoaks and a quarter of eastenders, especially Mo Slater.
