I see Sober Glory won his novice hurdle over 4 seconds quicker than Tutti Quanti in the William Hill hurdle yesterday, carrying only 2 lb less. They both pretty much won on the bridle.
If the latter is being seriously considered to be supplemented for the Champion Hurdle then it’s looking like Hobbs’s original assessment of SG as a potential star might well be accurate.

What did Willie say about Sober and Free Spirit in the stable tour? I’m interested in the Moscow Flyer horses even though it wasn’t a strong edition. Was working today and only got to the shop at lunchtime- somebody else had already got to the last Racing Post before me. How disappointing.

If you have a betting shop nearby. Ask in there if they still have yesterday’s copy. I know my local keep them for recycle

The more I look at it, the more I think Leader d’Allier will be the mount of Paul Townend and therefore be nothing like a 16/1 price. Would expect a front-running ride.

This looks like being some race if they all turn up.

Old Park Star – current fav, best form in England, trainer knows how to beat the Irish with a good one

Talk The Talk – trainer reported to have said, ‘he’s the best young jumps horse i’ve ever trained’ and best form in Ireland

Mighty Park – dark horse who comes in with plenty of hype behind him from the Mullins’ yard

El Cairos – desribed by trainer as being ‘exciting’ and having ‘bags of speed’

I’ve been and still am in the Talk The Talk camp, though he still has the Turners option for which he is now favourite for.

Said on one of the previews that JP had been trying to but Talk the Talk. Also said ( I think) that it’s his birthday on Tuesday so he’ll be wanting to win everything possible.

I’d be in the talk the talk camp. Had no right to win at leopardstown really.

6’s NRNB is good value. But makes me twitchy he’s not gonna line up.

“it looks a good quality race this year but Old Park has delivered the best performance so far”

    Not sure about that.
Old Park Star was visually impressive against inferior opposition (the 2nd and 3rd are a general 50-1 for the Turners).
Talk The Talk won a grade 1 against what looked like decent opposition (the 2nd and 3rd are a general 6-1 and 5-1 for the Turners).

Hoping they both run, so far connections of Talk Of Talk have had no problem with taking on Old Park Star, what i don’t know is what they think of Mighty Park, if they still want to run here it can only be a further positive to his chances considering he’s the general fav for the Turners.

Its a fantastic race. I have backed old park star to trigger my free bets with Boyle sports.

Hendos being quite tight lipped. Its giving me the Altior supreme vibes, min was the talking horse, a bit like mighty park.

I feel like, on the day, i’ll probably go again and double with kopek.

He was on a preview show and said he isn’t an Altior, he felt strongly he would beat the Irish with that one, but is a nice horse who could be very good.
