Mydaddypaddy is the first serious contender I’ve seen for this race
The way he’s travelled and jumped at tracks like Huntingdon Carlisle and Haydock…seems absolutely ideal for this race.
Some horseDecember 3, 2025 at 12:58 #1746542He’s looked good though Mullins not shown his hand yet.
December 3, 2025 at 15:45 #1746544Maybe I have missed something but what has Mydaddypaddy done to merit him being a 5/1 chance?
December 4, 2025 at 08:08 #1746589Who in there right mind is backing that at 5/1 comical stuff, even the campainging of him thus far is comical, its enough to ruin his chances,
5/1 to even run at this point
December 4, 2025 at 11:23 #1746599Yeah, I wasn’t expecting to see that price.
Mullins will be sending his better novices out soon but it’s been thin in the ground for the two mile division thus far
December 26, 2025 at 13:14 #17484875/1 for the Supreme.

As Mr Scrooge said “I’ll retire to Bedlam.”
December 26, 2025 at 16:59 #1748593Looked a terrible grade 1
Not jumping half the hurdles didn’t help but Mydaddypaddy as posted on this thread was over hyped.Charles Darwin to conquer the World

The RP juvenile pundits thought he was a must bet for the Supreme prior to today’s race.
December 27, 2025 at 11:11 #1748671El Cairos was ridiculously unlucky at Leopardstown. Hooked two shoes together after the last, so lost his footing, veered and fell
Up until then it was the best performance I’d seen thus far and Kennedy doesn’t seem put off at all. He would have been several seconds quicker than Ballyfad in the preceding maiden.

Talk The Talk 12/1 win only
January 10, 2026 at 18:32 #1750097With an eye on this and the Turners, the Moscow Flyer tomorrow is one of the worst renewals I’ve ever seen.

January 14, 2026 at 14:14 #1750443Interesting to see Sober Glory go in at Newbury today (admittedly in a rather mundane novice hurdle) but he won it without Ben Jones moving a muscle. He beat the 3rd horse by further than he was beaten by Mossy Fen Road who is now 16-1 for this yet is still available at 33s.
Given that Hobbs described him as the most exciting horse he’d had in quite a while after he won at Chepstow I’m inclined to forgive him his next lack lustre outing. He also beat the time of Henderson’s hotpot winner of the second division of the race, who was ridden out, by about 10 seconds.January 14, 2026 at 18:19 #1750484He was 9 seconds quicker being eased down than the Henderson winner in the next and that’s now as short as 12s in some places, generally 16s,and I wouldn’t touch with a barge poll for this race )
January 14, 2026 at 19:18 #1750493Given what I’ve said above nor would I. And the apparent lack of a superstar so far encourages me to hope that the one time master of novice hurdlers knows a good one when he sees it.
January 17, 2026 at 13:31 #1750743Old Park Star was very good. Have we just seen the Supreme winner?
January 17, 2026 at 13:33 #1750744Old park star very impressive there. Still doesnt look like a supreme type of horse to me.
He might just be too good like Altior was, but he looks like a staying chaser!
