Three strong fancies today…
GENTLEMAN JEFF (2.30 Galway)came up against a good one at The Galway Festival, the fact that he is Dermot Weld’s only runner at this weekend’s meeting is a tip in itself. The strike rate of his NH runners ridden by Robbie MacNamara is second to none.
Best bet of the day must me COLONEL MORTIMER (5.35), one of the most impressive bumper winners of the year last time out. Despite the fact that Enda Bolger is qouted as saying the softer ground suited the horse that evening, he is far to careful with his young horses to run him on unsuitable ground£7.50 EW Trixie with ENCHANTED EVENING on the flat at The Curragh
So sad to see a good horse go lame, lets hope he recovers fully, the loss of cash is secondary. The last three figure bet I had was on Age Of Aquarius, it’s just as well I’m not superstitious as I’ve just had £150 to win on
BYNACK MHOR
in the 4.05 at Cartmel.
Stable is in hot form and Aidan Coleman’s rides to win ratio on Lawney Hill’s chasers is second to none. They gone a long way North for just the one race, the distance and course will be ideal.Summer NH Profit dropped to £422.75
