The result is particularly amusing because Yousaf is on the front cover of “Time” magazine, described as “a leader of the future”.
October 12, 2023 at 10:08 #1666280You can tell things are getting bad for the SNP when one of its MPs defects…to the Conservatives!
October 14, 2023 at 07:54 #1666537Because of bullying …. I’m getting the feeling the SON are going to lose a few more seats come the election , you can certainly forget any independence talk , they,ve peaked
October 18, 2023 at 11:02 #1667061Humza Yousaf is the first European leader to want Palestinian refugees from Gaza to be taken into the UK / their country. In the same way as Ukrainian refugees.
I have great sympathy for his wife whose family is trapped in Gaza and all Palestinians in Gaza. But are his links to Gaza and his Muslim faith now altering Scottish National Party policy?
Is he naive? Some Palestinian refugees are more likely to be a far greater terrorist threat than Ukrainian refugees.
Or is he just aware that Scotland has not had anywhere near as much Islamic terrorism as England?… And that it won’t be Humza Yousaf’s country that could suffer badly if his policy comes to fruition.
If Palestinian refugees need a country to take sanctuary then Middle-Eastern, Muslim countries are surely in the best position to do so.
Value Is EverythingOctober 18, 2023 at 12:57 #1667067April 19, 2024 at 19:07 #1691063She looks like she’s been sleeping on the sofa …. to be fair if hubby paid for it it’s prob a nice one … but as she says that’s not the main issue …
April 29, 2024 at 09:27 #1692226BBC reporting that Yousaf is going to resign. The unravelling of the SNP continues.
April 29, 2024 at 12:09 #1692237Resignation confirmed. I expect “Time” magazine would like to take this one back. You need a heart of stone not to laugh:
April 30, 2024 at 09:08 #1692303Anything that boosts Labour’s chances even further is fine by me.
Hilarious to see the barely disguised glee from the Tory press. Have they seen the state of their own mob? Get your own house in order first before criticising others.
April 30, 2024 at 13:10 #1692317I didn’t see you or the Labour / Left Wing Press stopping criticising the Torries when Labour was in such a mess with Corbyn, Richard.
Sunack had to try to “unite the party” and at least keep the right wing of his party fairly happy by having one or two of them in his cabinet. The Bravermans of this world have now rebelled in an attempt to blame the centre for their demise at the next General Election. But it is the Tory Right of Truss, Boris and Braverman’s fault the Torries are in this mess.
I’d like to see the Tory Left and Centre keep their seats in the next election and kick out the Tory Right. So in a Shadow Cabinet they can once again truly become a party of the centre-right under either Sunak or Mordaunt.
Value Is EverythingJanuary 13, 2025 at 22:40 #1717987….. I’m guessing there’s a strong chance he’s going down
