Fingers crossed that Scotland goes back to Labour. Would help enormously at the next general election.

The ferries have been delayed again , cost now expected to be over £300 million , one wag commented ” it would be cheaper to drain the Clyde ” , it’s a disgrace , they actually gave the bosses a 87 grand bonus

I think a lot of people in Scotland are waking up to that, Glad. If they genuinely want to remove the Conservatives from power, they cannot waste their votes on the SNP – at least in Westminster elections. That has hurt Labour far more than the Conservatives.

Now Peter Murrell (Mr Nicola Sturgeon) has resigned rather than face a vote of no confidence.

This is starting to look like a party in serious crisis. Questions have already been raised about Murrell’s finances. I very much doubt they are going to go away.

I think we now know why Nichola has gone , very dirty and even the most ardent of SNP voters can see how bad this looks , Labour MUST take advantage

    Sturgeon’s husband arrested.

But remember: she resigned because she wanted to spend more time with her nephews and nieces.

And to think Sturgeon threw all the muck at Johnson, constantly, during his time as PM!

The chickens have come home to roost

To be fair, Murrell is entitled to the presumption of innocence. Being arrested does not necessarily mean guilt. But the sight of the former leader and her husband’s home sealed off by the police is a seriously bad look for the SNP.

I expect Alex Salmond is laughing himself silly.

I agree with you CAS, but it certainly doesn’t look good.

Yes, Alex is probably cracking open the bubbly as we speak.

Your’e surely not trying to condone Johnson’s constant blatant lying or the extremely dodgy
loans and handouts Wilts, regardless of anyone elses actions. Murrell was released without
any charges, which means at that point they didn’t have evidence to charge him. It doesn’t
mean he is not guilty or guilty of a crime/crimes, at least he doesn’t have photographs of
him in the act ala BoJo glass in hand toasting a hoard of fellow drinkers.

As for the police digging up his garden, what the hell, are they looking for a pirates chest
with doubloons and rubies. Anyone believing they dug up the garden probably believes Bigfoot
was seen skulking about Arbroath. They simply wouldn’t do that.

Can I say, quite honestly at this point, be careful what you write re this. Not that I give
a hoot, but social media is being observed. Nuff said

BigG I’ve only commented on what has been seen , they did dig up part of the garden , they’ve also removed a lot of property and paperwork , a lot of SNP supporters have jumped on the “look at the Tories” defence , prob is Nicola has been throwing stones in a glasshouse for years , yesterday the Glazier turned up and condemned it … Nicola played snow white to long and as I said the long used ” I can’t recall ” ain’t working here …

I hardly think the police are going to be looking at a Racing Forum for political comments. No one has written anything out of line. And there is far more spicy commentary and rumours about Sturgeon elsewhere anyway.

Nothing that happened yesterday would have been at all surprising to anyone who ever reads the Wings Over Scotland blog. It published the story about the missing £600,000 and Murrell’s personal loan to the party three years ago. Which begs the question: if one man and his blog knew about it, why was the mainstream media so quiet? Why was it so in thrall to the SNP?

While there’s clearly no love for Chezza among the ownership and admin of TRF, in fairness to old misery guts and his crew, and as a general comment, Chezza would gently suggest it’s best to avoid any comments that could be considered libellous regarding civil matters or prejudicial to a potential criminal case.

It’s not only themselves the authors of such comments put at risk, it is the platform on which they write too.

Chezza’s not necessarily suggesting anyone has crossed any lines here – and TRF has a relatively small audience in the greater scheme of things and that’s certainly taken into account regarding civil law defamatory matters – but better safe than sorry.

It’s quite a turn of events, is it not?

Exactly my point Ian, nothing has been libelled against Sturgeon, she hasn’t
even been asked for an interview. Murrell was released without any charge,
we have to bear these things in mind. As for the back garden story, what
bunch of Sherlocks would dig up a back garden but not touch the front.
They’re not looking for bodies, it’s paper trails, computers, discs etc.

Does anyone think the former Chief Exec of the SNP, if he had anything
theoretically to hide is going to dig a hole in his back garden to plank
stuff. That’s like a bunch of geezers from an edition of the Sweeney.

Time will tell, we might be a racing forum, but we’re not invisable.
