DARK VOYAGER ( WIN) goes in a 6 runner but competitive race. He won at Galway and the stable see this as a big test.

On any given Saturday this should be a walk in the park for ONTARIO but a check on the race trends show this event has been a bad race for faves the last two years and an each way chance is taken on the Mullins horse Stable could not be in better form and a bold big for some black type is hoped for. Ontario still really should be up to winning this even under pressure, but the each way on the outsider is more appealing.

A case can be made for most of these based on superior ratings from hurdles but this one has a good strike rate and has scored at points, hurdles and chase and should relish this trip and the challenge. Not likely to be the case for all.

this french horse has lost just once and won trips at the distance well.
While the French form is difficult to assess at the best of times in trappy affairs he has come out on top each time. Times are good too. Fresh and unexposed, although a bit green. Unlike several, this is his trip, going and the price is highly favourable. Each way.

Getting these horses ready with a run or two on the flat is fraught with mishaps. My early selection’s stable have a different approach.

They won this last year same jockey with an unraced horse and have a healthy 26% strike rate. Same method again.
Seamie Heffernan stays at home missing Ascot also missed Dundalk so something is about to be unleashed from Ballydoyle at the track today a watching brief on his rides the bigger price the more interesting.
