im amazed you did not metion soulard in your last thread bulwark………………wat is your opinion?…………….ive become awre this horse is layed out for this race
February 21, 2009 at 16:14 #211512Definitely wouldnt write him out of the race eddie, and extremely well bred horse, but on pedigree he would look like a 2,000 guineas horse, he’s not a million miles away on pedigree from arch swing (2nd in the 1,000 gns in 2007) and is from arch the sire of Golden Jubilee and July Cup winner Les Arcs, Interstingly, just like the two aforementioned horses his best form has come on gd-fm, and for a 2m4.5f chase on gd-g/s he has a very speedy pedigree.
He could win but at the same time he could be run out of the race, as he was in this race by The Hairy Lemon last year, at a shorter price than The Hairy Lemon, I’d rather back The Hairy Lemon, just my way of doing things, but not necessarily certain to be correct.
February 21, 2009 at 16:18 #211514he wasnt run out in this last year the bulwark he fell over a fence which was planted in the mide of the acetrack also hes had is tenticles removed since ( ge;ded) does this help? i take notice of ya comments …
February 21, 2009 at 16:28 #211515Racing Post in race comments from last years race.
SOULARD – Led, hit 7th, jumped right and hit next, ridden and headed after 13th, 4th and weakening when crashing fall 3 out
Obviously he would have been much more inexperienced then, and the gelding op should have helped, but am going to just stick with The Hairy Lemon for an e/w and hope he can get a win up but good luck with soulard, because he could still be the winner if ironing out his faults and the pace isnt too searching.
