I don’t get why Walker does commentating. You might as well let the average snooker fan have a go.

Eurosport’s team is better all round. Aside from the commentators, Rachel Casey and the young lad (sorry, can’t remember his name) are far better hosts than the ubiquitous Rishi Persad.

    Brilliant stuff from Blind Dave.

I knew the young chap is called Radzi but had to look his surname up as I would otherwise have butchered it:

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radzi_Chinyanganya

He was on the BBC coverage as a reporter not so long ago, good to see him get a presenting gig.

Walker clearly loves the game and has a good statistical knowledge but he doesn’t know the technical side at all and trots out endless stats to try to hide this. As you say there are thousands of fans who could probably do the same. I get the impression that not all the players like him that much either when they are interviewed by him.

Wow, Brecel has just demolished O’Sullivan inside two hours. You’d have had some odds on him to win by any score from 10-6 down but 13-10 must have been an astronomical price heading into this session.

I did not see it today but I saw most of yesterday evening’s session. O’Sullivan was poor. He was probably lucky to get out of that session 4-4. But you would still have expected him to win from 10-6 up.

I had half an eye on it and Brecel was brilliant, he wasn’t perfect but once it went 11-10 the session whitewash looked inevitable.

O’Sullivan was magnanimous in defeat and full of praise for him.

We are now guaranteed a first time finalist and only one former champion in the last four.

Si Jiahui is a phenomenal talent for a 20 year old. He’s like the Constitution Hill of Snooker!

Yes, I’m feeling better about my Murphy bet going tits up. At least it was against a freakish talent
I’ve still got Allen at 14’s but he’s not been in the best of form since the turn of the year and I’d have him 4th choice at the moment.. :rose:

I know its only best of 7 but Liam Highfield is slight underdog in places against Martin O’Donnell
Hes a better player by some way in my opinion. I make him about a 1/2 or thereabouts shot

Not a good look is it? Maybe it’s totally innocent but me or Blind Dave could have done a better job of that shot.

Can’t have ever been a shorter frame bar a ridiculous concession. I guess in theory you could have a three shot frame if you miscued three times on the break off. Fairly sure the integrity unit might have something to say if that happened though.

I give Blind Dave a 40 handicap now
Pull it all back on the reds and then he comes alive on the colours
I keep losing but it has improved my game as I need to focus more when trying to get a colour off a red.
Had a 24 break a couple of weeks back which is my best in a while

I’ve never seen a frame lost quite like that
I’ve seen it when a player gets warned so goes to hit the ball they can see and miscue but to play the same shot like Burden did 3 times was reckless
