It’s all about the ground with Banbridge, as we know, CAS.
He broke the clock on a resilient surface at Gowran Park, that’s when you put him up and I followed you in.
If he gets his ground they had all better look out because he’s a progressive young chaser.

Banbridge is the only danger to Allaho in the Ryanair for me. Obviously needs good ground though and would only bet him via NRNB.
I contacted 3 bookmakers looking for a match bet, Janadil to beat Notlongtillmay but no takers.
January 13, 2024 at 14:19 #1677177Pic Dorhy wasnt beaten decisively CAS the jump at the last proved crucial.
January 13, 2024 at 14:23 #1677179Pic D’Orhy is a good yardstick.
yes, he made a mistake at the last but Banbridge had put him under enough pressure to force itGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
January 13, 2024 at 14:23 #1677180The winning margin was decisive, Mike. Stop splitting hairs.
Banbridge now a general 5/1 chance for the Ryanair.
January 13, 2024 at 14:27 #1677185Hopefully notlongtillmay is OK
That was a big knock to stage stars form
Banbridge jumped pretty poorly looking very rusty at his obstacles off the long lay off
Suspect he was good value for the winning margin given that

Yep. After Pic missed the last. ;o)
January 13, 2024 at 14:29 #1677187The fences are there to be jumped, Mike.

I thought so too, FF. I was not hopeful at halfway but he still won.
I thought it was a good effort and I expect him to improve from it.

January 13, 2024 at 14:39 #1677192Agreed Wilts, sad day.
January 13, 2024 at 14:42 #1677196Very sad news about Notlongtillmay
January 13, 2024 at 14:53 #1677204Such a shame. Condolences to connections.
January 13, 2024 at 14:57 #1677209RIP Notlongtillmay, real shame for the yard he was their stable star. Never nice losing horses but particularly when its these smaller yards losing their good ones.
It was a decent step forward from Banbridge to be fair if you look at where he was rated coming in even getting a bit of weight from Pic D’Orhy, first run out of novice company too. Presumably he’ll come forward for the run. Wouldn’t be a taker at those antepost odds for the Ryanair mainly because he probably won’t run. Edwardstone obviously very disappointing, far too keen, not sure what they do with him now to be honest. He might be something of a busted flush but the campaign of Janidil this season smacks of a handicap plot to me, even going as far as bringing him over here so the UK handicapper can see for himself how far he’s fallen. Could see him as top weight in the plate with a decent claimer on.
