What possible difference would a claiming jockey make to the scoring system?
If they keep the prize money sufficient there will be no problem with entries, on that basis maybe some owners are put off more by some foreign riders rather than claimers they are familiar with here.
Like the reasoning behind the decision not give riders a ride in every race just lame excuses.
