Won’t Heathcliff improve a stone for going from Easterby to Richard Lee?
People moaning about there being AW racing in this Scoop 6 but that is surely preferential to this woeful selling hurdle at Huntingdon!
Leave Easterby alone – in any event he hasn’t even trained Heathcliff!!

LIN 3:50 Ceremonial JadeWhat happens if one of your selections is a non-runner
November 22, 2008 at 13:38 #191288goes on the fav i think
November 22, 2008 at 13:54 #191290Thanks Simon
What if you have already included the favourite as one of your other selections in that race – is your stake merely doubled?
As a working example, what if you put Atlantic Story (prob fav) in the opener and then you decide to put in a second horse to give yourself another shot in that race so you put in Mahadee without checking that the horse is even running or not because you’re too f***ing stupid to be allowed near a betting slip.
My … eh … brother did this and he was asking me what happens in this situation.

Can’t believe your bro’s that daft, db.
It goes on the fav, no matter how many times you do it.
If joint favs, it goes on the lowest number.November 22, 2008 at 15:03 #191303I’m giving this bet the bodyswerve, save for punting that it won’t be won.
Does it even represent value to the pinsticker betting without cashback or bonus? Barely:
£2.9m carryover win fund
£1.3m carryover bonus fund£3.5m fresh money
gives
£4.65m win fund (3.255m net)
£2.05m bonus fund (1.435m net)
£1m place fund (700k net)expected total payout
3.255m * circa 70% chance of being won = 2.279m
1.435m * circa 40% chance of being won = 574k
700k certain to be wonGives a grand total of £3.55m for £3.5m of fresh money. You’d need a bonus/cashback or you’d need to unearth some value selections to make it worthwhile.
(edited to include gross carryover figures)
November 22, 2008 at 15:07 #191304Where can I find betting on the final total for the Scoop 6, please?

Does it even represent value to the pinsticker betting without cashback or bonus? Almost certainly no:
Gives a grand total of £3.115m for £3.5m of fresh money. You’d need a 10% cashback just to make it a fair bet and then you need to unearth some value selections to make it worthwhile.
Killjoy

If I win I won’t be able to forgive myself for wasting my money on such a poor value bet
November 22, 2008 at 15:18 #191308..oh, and the only horse I wanted to put in the fecking thing is a non runner.

One of my selections is also a non-runner so I’ve had to re-jig a bit. Three n/rs in the last nowNovember 22, 2008 at 16:12 #191315my random dart in the dark :

Unit Stake 1@: 2.00
Stake: 2.00November 22, 2008 at 16:21 #191317I’m having a go this week. Have thrown my form guide out the window and done an agyness in picking names haha. Bring it on haha
November 22, 2008 at 17:06 #191331Here’s my stab at it:
Leg 1: Beat The Bell
Leg 2: Miss Brown To You
Leg 3: Bills Echo
Leg 4: Mr Aviator, Baharah, Bronze Cannon
Leg 5: Heathcliff
Leg 6: DuffForm book out the window for me aswell, I’ve literally picked the horse that have either won me money this year or, in Duffs case, deserve to get one on the board
November 22, 2008 at 17:18 #191335Looks very difficult this week. Each and every leg has dangerous outsiders that could spoil he party.
Still – any Scoop 6 that includes 4 from Lingfield will draw me out, especially as Tom Segal has kindly put everyone away by telling them that Bronze Cannon is a banker!
November 22, 2008 at 17:23 #191336Cusrses, I picked Bronze Cannon before he was pricewised, the swine, think he has a hell of a chance.
November 22, 2008 at 17:24 #191337A horse who has had plenty of problems and looks desperately in need of 12f on turf. Good luck with that one over 10f at Lingfield.
