Last season’s Arc winner has just made a highly impressive return in the Prix Ganay and looks to have developed more power and speed over the winter. With Calandagan in the same stable, it looks as though Daryz will be campaigned over a mile and a quarter for much of the season, with the Arc (for which Calandagan is ineligible) as the long-term target again.
He’s going to take a hell of a lot of beating wherever he goes.
April 26, 2026 at 16:25 #1764936He was absolutely brilliant today. Nothing touches Daryz in the Arc if he’s there on form again.
It’s a shame we’ll probably never see him up against Calandagan.
Graffard is the best trainer in Europe imo. The guys strike rate is unbelievable and it rarely dips.
April 26, 2026 at 16:28 #1764937His turn of foot reminded me of that asian superstar that won earlier on the day. It’s the Prince of Wales’s Stakes next according to Graffard, but will they go for the KingGeorge and then the Arc? Or just the Arc?
GM, he remains a G1 winning machine and the stable is always in form. Have to agree about him being the top trainer in Europe.April 26, 2026 at 17:56 #1764942What a beauty he is

Minnie Hauk is back this season apparently looking a better physical specimen, and the Arc was dominated by 3 year olds last time. So looking forward to seeing how the season plays out.May 5, 2026 at 19:50 #1766107Daryzan, a Zarak half-brother to Daryz, looked another off the recent conveyor belt on debut today:
