I’m not sure why they need anyone in the studio on race days anyway. I would just have a presenter at each course (although it is sadly the fashion to have two or more these days) and that’s it.
As for the increasing number of graphics covering the screen, all you need is the time and meeting in the top left corner. Everything else is redundant. This applies to both SSR and ITV as well, not just RTV.
Not sure many punters who backed the beaten odds on favourite Doctor Du Mesnil will agree with Kevin O’Ryan’s assessment that he “ran fantastic”.
Where did they get those two Josh’es Stacey & Kerr from? They add nothing to the coverage & personally detract from it.
They look barely old enough to bet.The lack of knowledge of racing history on RTV is shameful.How can a racing presenter not have heard of Night Nurse & other famous horses of the past.
