Big news today that Envoi Allen is going chasing this year.
Already very short for The Marsh, I’m surprised that there was barely a ripple in this market…..

I’m unlikely to bet him in any case, but I’d rather bet him at 7’s for this, rather than 3’s for The Marsh, at this stage anyway.
Column of Fire would be my shout just now, at a very big looking 40’s. I think that’s the completely wrong price, and he’s not far away from becoming my first Cheltenham bet this year.
I’m still willing to forgive hype horse Andy Dufresne for a couple of lacklustre runs, and he’s 50’s, but if the National Hunt Chase survives, then I’d be more keen on him there. Fellow JP Horse Janidil also interests me, but he could go a number of routes.
Column of Fire
September 10, 2020 at 08:04 #1500569Envoi Allen much more likely a Marsh Chase runner VTC.
September 10, 2020 at 11:45 #1500590His well-being would have to be taken on trust, but Dickie Divers is a very big price at 66-1. That might just be worth a small each way.
September 10, 2020 at 12:07 #1500600Iv had monkfish in a few free bet trixies
If he takes to chasing he is a serious prospect
September 10, 2020 at 12:54 #1500601I’ve had bits and pieces on Monkfish too
TAPK is also very sweet on him for this the last time I spoke to himBlackbeard to conquer the World
September 10, 2020 at 17:12 #1500644Yeah Mike, I think he’ll go Marsh as well, but thought him worth a mention for this.
September 20, 2020 at 13:39 #1502325I agree with the Monkfish shouts, but I also like his stablemate Asterion Forlonges at 33-1
September 22, 2020 at 20:39 #1502862I like Monkfish too, but the other one o had in mind is Aione, who is currently 50-1, and in any case might be one for The National Hunt Chase, but I am considering him here.
September 24, 2020 at 02:51 #1503041I think Redford Road is an interesting recruit to the chasing scene, and he starts out at Perth today.
Only one quote for him so far, 50’s, but unfortunately that’s over on the seedy side of the page on Oddschecker, so even if he runs well tomorrow, there’ll be no chance of an early bet.
September 24, 2020 at 11:56 #1503066RSA – Dickie Diver @ 66/1 EW makes plenty of appeal (bigger on the exchange). People are naturally looking to this year’s Albert Bartlett to find the RSA winner but I think it could pay to look back to 2019. DD finished an eye-catching 4th, finishing well after not getting a clear run. He’s a massive horse that came to Henderson with a big reputation and having missed last season he’s been completely forgotten in the market.
September 24, 2020 at 15:15 #1503095Nothing special today from Redford Road, and I’m already thinking about Handicaps.
September 24, 2020 at 15:25 #1503099Is Dickie Diver eligible for the NH Chase as well? I backed him for that in 2019 before he got injured so wondering if that turns out to be more suitable.
September 25, 2020 at 01:24 #1503188Yeah, he can take in NH Chase Mike
October 1, 2020 at 12:31 #1504349I think Monkfish wins this, Fury Road wins the National Hunt Chase and Thyme Hill hopefully stays hurdling and wins the Stayers
That said, there are a number of lovely staying prospects this year and it’ll be interesting to see which trip The Big Getaway starts out
October 3, 2020 at 21:16 #1504787Chantry House and Dickie Diver are my first bets in this as per my DLAP thread. It looks a strong division.
October 6, 2020 at 14:25 #1505142Patrick mullins spoke positively about the big getaway for this
Apparently he’s the biggest horse in the yard so anything he did over hurdles was a bonus
At 20/1 next time iv got a free bet to waste il be taking that price I think
October 6, 2020 at 14:35 #1505144He did mention him for the NHC as well FF91. Probably still a good chance of coming here given different owners, but with Monkfish in there they might potentially split them?
