I abstain due to the appalling lack of Jumps rides on this list. It was clearly compiled by a shower of Southern, Campari-necking tossers.

You couldn’t have a vote for an individual jumps jockey though it would be unfair on the rest of them. They all deserve a gong just for getting on in the first place, to complete the course is worthy of an oscar.

Has to be Ryan Moore’s Eclipse victory on Notnowcato.

Shockingly cruel to include the Papal Bull ride. And the Notnowcato moment owed more to the meatheads who stayed far side than it did to any Moore brilliance. Will time show the functional Ryan Moore to be a shade overrated? I wonder.

Grassy, I agree with you. The best ride I saw last year was one of Timmy’s for Hen Knight at Ascot. I forget the name of the horse. Reminiscent of Bradley on Morley Street at Aintree, it fair took my breath away. Real craftsmanship.

If any ride brought victory from the jaws of defeat it was Frankie on Ramonti at Royal Ascot. What was the evidence Notnowcato coming to the stands side was an advantage? That he won the race of course and all the others were on the far side

Abstain also, did Dettori not use his whip with excessive force and frequency on Ramonti, so he broke the rules, while the other jockeys rode within the rules, so technically Frankie cheated so Ramonti should be omitted.
