And if it comes with 5.1 surround sound I will be able to hear the yobs behind me chanting and drowning out the commentator, not to mention planes coming into land at nearby airports.

I wonder where RUK is getting the money for this as most of the normal channels seem a bit slow taking on HD.

Never mind, 3D telly is just around the corner, which should be useful for totty watching at Royal Ascot.

C4 Racing has been available in HD for a couple of years now. Some of the shots, particularly of horses going to post, are magnificent.

Can’t get C4 in HD in Ireland so the Grand National this year was my first time to see racing in HD and it was stunning. If this does happen it will be great.
