As the title states Racing UK is supposedly free this weekend on Virgin, not sure about other providers.

    Source was another forum.

Virgin emailed me, but there isn’t a lot of racing exclusive to them; Kelso abandoned. Going to record it to see what it’s like, I’ve never seen their coverage.

I just turned over and David Fitzgerald was talking to his guest about how often he shaves and does he like having a beard.

Racing UK pure racing entertainment (!)

From my Virgin menu it seems to be a fortnight. Time will tell if that is correct.

A 50 grand bumper and nothing of the horses in the paddock or going to post prior to the race, just recorded interviews about other things that had been shown half a dozen times previously. The charity race was also omitted, they must have been in a hurry to get home.

    Very disappointing coverage.

Even for nothing the channel is too costly.

I wasn’t too impressed either, the analysis was more professional than Channel 4 but they showed less of the horses in the paddock and the picture quality was a bit fuzzy, though not as bad as ATR.

… the picture quality was a bit fuzzy

Look on the bright side: they’re launching HD coverage today (but only on Sky, not on Virgin, Freeview or any mobile platforms), so the picture ought to be better.

Pity that they aren’t showing any, you know, racing on the day that their much-heralded new coverage is launched.

No HD on Virgin which is annoying, no reason not to provide HD on cable as well as SKY, we pay the same money

I’m not so sure that I’d want to see their presenters in HD….

An amazing coincidence, their HD pictures have the same time delay as their SD ones – That must be unique.

Wonder if there’s in truth in the rumour that they deliberately slowed down their SD pictures several months ago so they wouldn’t be any quicker than the HD ones when they came in ;-)

The Racing UK picture is crystal clear on Virgin, no problem at all. Unless there’s a problem in your area it must be an AV equipment issue.

....and you've got to look a long way back for anything else.
