    Is there a definition for classes of races in GB?

    Class 1 = pattern- and listed races
    Class 2 = heritage handicaps, ….
    Class 3 to 6 (7?): … ???

    Is just prize-money a criterion for those classes? Are classes of races refered to in comditions of races: f.e.: "… for horses hat haven’t won a class 1 to 3 races during last 12 months"?

    The best thing is to visit http://rules.britishhorseracing.com/Ord … 00&depth=3 which outlines the Classification Of Races in the UK.

    I would posted it on here but it is incrediby long and involved.
