Skybet doing money back as cash 2nd/3rd or 4th for this up to £20
June 16, 2019 at 23:02 #1445547He’s a bit inconsistent, his record at this level leaves a lot to be desired, and this looks a stronger renewal than last year, but I’ll side with Beat The Bank here.
He’s still a likeable enough type, and would have been much closer last year, but for finding plenty of trouble in running. Four places available, so he’ll do for me, and I’d settle for the same effort as last year.
Beat The Bank 25’s Each Way 4 Places
June 17, 2019 at 12:28 #1445603OLMEDO at 16/1 looks by far and away the likeliest winner.
It will take a good one to stop him but Mustashry and Dream Castle are both very much respected by myself.

I think OLMEDO looks not only the best bet of the entire Royal Ascot festival but also THE BEST BET OF THE 2019 FLAT SEASON
June 17, 2019 at 14:32 #1445616Good Luck with Olmedo, Potato; gonna need it.
Value Is EverythingJune 17, 2019 at 15:30 #1445629Le brivido been drifting all day on betfair
June 17, 2019 at 16:08 #1445633I backed Le Brivido when 9/1, Igor. But he shortened up to 4/1 a couple of days ago. False price and the market knew it. Probably only as low as 4/1 due to people thinking market rivals (particularly Mustashry who had been very weak) wouldn’t act on a soft surface. Now officially good going those two have reversed. There’s also some confidence Barney Roy is back to 2017 form – also pushing Le Brivido out. I made a comment when top bookies price 9/2 (11/2 betfair) that 9/2 was far too short and that I had his fair price as 7/1. Betfair price is now 7/1.

It has an outstanding chance and will be no surprise should he win.
The trainers record is 4 winners from 7 runners at the ascot festival in the last 5 years. If a trainer has a record like that in the most competitive race meeting in flat racing then you have to take anything he sends here very seriously indeed.
Trainer reputation aside the horse has won over a mile and is a group 1 winner which makes him a big player on form.
In terms of breeding his mother won 1 of her 4 races her father was pivotal who won the kings stand at royal ascot as a 3yo. Olmedos father Declaration of War.won this race the queen anne in 2013.
So it wont be any surprise if this horse is a royal ascot winner looking at his immediate family.Demuro is a talented strong jockey who operates a 20% strike rate at ascot.
Olmedo is 4yo and that age wins this race more than any other, he is also excellently drawn.
The french raiders have a decent record in this race, the stable appear to be confident and his french form is superior to anything that Aidens horse did in france.
Absolutely cracking chance and 16/1 is a gift.

How?
Do you really think a neck victory over Hey Gaman with a nose back to Dice Doll – is better than Le Brivido’s short head second to Brametot with 3 lengths back to the third Rivet?Value Is EverythingJune 17, 2019 at 19:07 #1445648How do?, been a while. Big band of rain expected 12-2pm so its hard to guage who represents the best value at the minute. Its a tough race for sure either way the ground goes so I’ll tip my small hat towards Matterhorn at 25/1. I wasn’t confident that he could transform his AW form onto turf but fair play to him he has run well in recent group races over the 10f mark.
It wouldn’t surprise me if he finished down the track in this but a stiff mile on soft ground against a field of this nature can offer him a chance to cap off a hugely progressive six months. Oisin Murphy booked to ride, that’s a Tip(sy)
in itself.June 17, 2019 at 19:35 #1445652The trainers record is 4 winners from 7 runners at the ascot festival in the last 5 years. If a trainer has a record like that in the most competitive race meeting in flat racing then you have to take anything he sends here very seriously indeed.
Off the top of my head Qemah + Solow had solid form chances (Solow was pretty short both times>?) Not sure using his record with this one is that simple. Interesting shout though still

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!June 17, 2019 at 20:01 #1445655It’s actually 4 from 6 I was mistaken. This is Rougets only runner for the entire royal meeting.
I would suggest it would be somewhat foolish to underestimate the chance of this horse.
Solow was trained by head not rouget.
June 17, 2019 at 20:09 #1445656Qemah won both Coronation at three and Duke Of Cambridge at four.
Ervedya also won the Coronation.
Not sure who the fourth was though?Value Is EverythingJune 17, 2019 at 20:16 #1445657My bad, was thinking off the top of my head!

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!June 17, 2019 at 20:53 #1445658Good luck for the week folks. Poor renewal this for me but still a fascinating race. I want to stay away from the Lockinge form and would love Barney Roy to show his class and win but so many ‘ifs’ in this race.
Token bet with chivers shout on Matterhorn. Jockey flying and 4/6 over a mile albeit in lower grade races. Just think this race could throw up a big price winner and I’ll have a nibble at him.
June 18, 2019 at 09:41 #1445700Sticking with my TTF horse Barney Roy here. Straight mile should let him use that stride and I don’t think it’s going to rain before the off.
6-1 fair enough I think.June 18, 2019 at 09:54 #1445705Very happy with my antipost play here….
Barney Roy 20/1
Accidental Agent 14/1
Mustashry 6/1
Le Brivido 9/1Come on Barney Roy! Would be an awesome start to the week!
June 18, 2019 at 10:02 #1445707A lovely set of AP bets Frenchy…very jealous of your 20-1. Yes come on Barney!!
