well done botchy great tipping. just had a look and really like the offer of 33/1 on jack hobbs with bet365 for next years arc. concidering his preparstion and how well he ran to come 3rd was brilliant. he did not get beat that far by a race fit almanzor. who was impressive i must admit.
but hobbs really stayed on well at the finnish. so with him running next season and with no problems i would rather take 33s the hobbs than 4s about almanzor. what do you think guysOctober 17, 2016 at 12:10 #1267571I backed

pushed him out wide early on, that he ran a terrific race. I think there will be a lot of top races
to be won with him next year, whether the Arc is one I’m not sure. It’s unfortunate for him that he
fractured his pelvis back in April, which kept him out til late in the year, who knows, he may well
have gone for it (Arc) this year. If you think stats are important, there has only been one 5 year old
that has won the Arc in the last 28 years, all the rest have been 3 or 4. Having said that, his injury
has kept him off for most of the season, so there aren’t many miles on the clock. He has the right
credentials, being runner up in the Derby and winning the Irish version, so he may be the one to buck
the trends. Personally I think improving 3 year olds have an advantage with the weight concession they
are given, and more so for fillies. In the last 20 runnings, 15 winners have been 3 years old. It’s early
days, but Rhododendron could be very good, she could follow the same route as Found who ran in the Arc at
3 before winning it this year. AOB has so much talent in his stable, Churchill (20/1) could be another. If Jack Hobbs does go there, I’m sure he would give a good run. To have run as well as he did, with
no prep, shows there is more to come. Perhaps his 5th year may be more like his 4th with so little
running. Good luck if you have a punt, and at 33/1 you don’t have to chance much to make it worthwhileGreat foresight with Almanzor Botchy, that’s some price you latched onto early
October 17, 2016 at 15:00 #1267606Great price (again!) Botchy.
Agree with BigG, Jack Hobbs would be more likely to run in the Arc, depending on what else Gosden and/or Godolphin have next year. So Mi Dar may well improve in to a top class filly next season and at this stage more likely to go Champion (10f) rather than Arc (12f) – not absolutely certain to stay the Arc trip… And Jack Hobbs is proven at 12f.Value Is EverythingOctober 17, 2016 at 21:29 #1267658Highland Reel seems to of stepped up a bundle this year, if kept in training and steps up again next year then 25’s would look big.
The race has just finished and i’m thinking about having a bet on 2017 now
October 18, 2016 at 09:39 #1267683ive just took the 33/1 on jack hobbs for next years arc. not for a lot but a few quid. just think 33s is far to big. just hope he can keep him sound for next season. still so much to come for this lightly raced colt. brilliant come back sat with a race that didn’t suit as well
