This horse should have been a Guardian Classic trial winner but failed in a photo finish,he also ran in a St Leger!! Tomorrow the Sprint King will run him over 6f at York and i have snaffled all the 48"s on the machine to a whole fiver!! He runs off a mark of 93,which as far as Dandy goes is a perfect starter! I think there is defineately a "sprint" in this fellow as he has plenty of speed, his 3rd place behind Bazroy around Lingfields 7f shows clearly he can

-£885May 14, 2010 at 16:25 #295710TAPK has gone for a little touch tomorrow, £50 e/w on
Lord Shanakil
at 16/1,his form in Group 1"s at 2 and 3yo mark him down as a bigger threat to Paco Boy than the market suggests, remember he beat Rip Van Winkle in their Dewhurst and finished a very creditable 3rd to my favourite 3yo last year, Mastercraftsman at Royal Ascot! Now that the legend himself has him under his care, you can guarantee he will be fit to run a big race and bearing in mind the Cecil string are in good fettle,i believe the 16"s is just too big! This fellow gets the mile well where as i have doubts about both
Ouqba
and Stimulation getting the mile, the latter does have a good piece of form with Paco over 7f! Come on King Henry lets get this party started! A pound to a penny
Tom Segal
puts him up tomorrow, with a saver on Stimulation!

-£775May 15, 2010 at 14:32 #295801A sprinter who loves to hear his feet rattle runs in the feature sprint at Newbury today.
Striking Spirit
did me a big favour last year at York when holding Pavershooz in a good 6f race where he made all comfortably, his current mark of 95 is only 2lbs higher than when he was last successful!I have had £20 e/w at 5/1 with the Tote!
-£815May 15, 2010 at 15:57 #295815Nice to get an insight TAPK!
At this moment in time, who are you fancying for Oaks/Derby?
Can’t see past Cape Blanco with /Timepiece and Aviate for me!

JJM at this moment in time i would be on Aviate for the Oaks, even though i am on Timepiece
I cant understand the excuses for Timepieces performance last week?? For the Derby,so long as the ground is not too fast i would stay loyal to Workforce at 25/1 down and Viscount Nelson at 150 on the machine! If neither ran and the Prince runs Bullet train,i will be on that. St Nicholas has the action of a soft ground horse and i just dont see how his Guineas run justifies favouritism!May 15, 2010 at 20:07 #295855The French came over and snaffled our 2000gns this year with Makfi so we are sending over a thief in the night to rob them of theirs! I have had a £100 win on
Dick Turpin
at 7/2 to ride home with the jewels!I have always been a great believer in our Guineas form standing up!I have also had £15 e/w on
Poets Voice
at 10/1 as i think this fine big progressive colt will develop into a proper Group 1 horse!
-£945May 16, 2010 at 19:57 #296005The Kings Stand kicks off this years Royal Ascot with a wide open 5f sprint as usual,Fleeting Spirit,Equiano,Kingsgate Native are all Group 1 Winners as well as the likely Foreign challenge,so its a tough nut to crack. What catches my eye through all this collateral form is a horse who was still only a 3yo last year but stood up to the task against all the above with distinction. This fellows bred to sprint and has shown progressive form to date, with any normal improvement from 3 to 4,
Total Gallery
will make his mark this year. I have taken all the 14"s on Betfair to £20 and have had £50 e/w with Ladbrokes at 10/1.

May 16, 2010 at 20:50 #296013The Epsom dash is a competitive event over the fastest 5f in the country and last years winner Indian Trail has every chance of following up this year, however as usual, weight plays a vital role in the outcome of this and i like both
Captain Dunne
and
Strike up the band
. The former trades at 8"s whilst the latter is a massive 42 on Betfair, both have course form which is crucial to me and thats why i dont fancy the 5/1fav Hawkeyethenoo! I have had £20 on Captain Dunne and £5 on Strike at 42!
Loser £25May 16, 2010 at 20:51 #296014Not beaten far in the ‘land of monsters’!

However – you might like to know that this was said afterwards:
Total Gallery 6th – (of 14 3l to Sacred Kingdom)
Johnny Murtagh, Jockey:
"He’s run super for a three year old, he’ll be an even better horse next year. He travelled well but was a touch fresh. He’s a top sprinter in the making."
May 16, 2010 at 20:59 #296015Cheers Zenjah,i bet you watched the race from your magic carpet and was home before the sun set in the west! "Fly straight with perfection, find me a new direction" We learn something new every day my magic mushroom friend!
May 17, 2010 at 18:10 #296085Lol! – though totally wide of the mark or should I say – way out?!

The only thing trippy in ‘my world’ this weekend was ‘Rocket Man’ going off as an odds on shot – to win an international race – and getting such good odds against!

I did see that HK Sprint back then I was perched on my stool & not a mushroom with the hookah smoking caterpillar!…backed ‘Sacred Kingdom’ and ‘One World’ ew that day King…was hoping that the 66/1 shot would get there…alas it wasn’t to be!
Still ‘Sacred’ went off at a decent price due to a hype horse being in there!
There’s a pattern emerging…
If I were to pilot my magic carpet anywhere…
it might be to a place with a ‘French Connection’ where I could feel the sand between my toes…
Here’s to big price winners…
May 17, 2010 at 20:16 #296102Here’s to big price winners…

Here"s one for you Zenjah at a massive price,
Red Jazz
is 50/1 to win the July Cup!
Awzaan
at 33"s and
Delegator
at 20"s are my 3 Ante-Post selections for the race to date!
May 18, 2010 at 18:52 #296173Thanks King…Barrington loves a winner at HQ!

There was a real nice write up on the ‘Sporting Life’ site about ‘Total’ today – did you see?!

Is the one race really gonna be his thing?!

Makes one wonder…
May 25, 2010 at 09:23 #296807Tense times for those of us holding Ante-Post vouchers on
Workforce
and
Timepiece
for the Derby and Oaks this year! I will admit from what i have seen from both this year, that it will be a surprise if either win.Workforce and Epsoms cambers on firm ground concern me,on softer ground i would be much more confident.Timepiece on the other hand and the excuses that "She went to fast!!!!!" at Lingfield worry me even more!I have therefore had a bet on
Aviate
and
Bullet Train
in a £10 double at 6/1 and 10/1,i have also had a £30 e/w bet on Bullet Train at 10/1,i would say he was a place banker if he runs!
Loser £70May 29, 2010 at 13:31 #297497I have been trying to keep my powder dry for Epsom and Royal Ascot, but as i am one of those who occassionally follows one over the proverbial cliff,i have thrown another £20 e/w at 20/1 with Stan James on
Syrian
in the Newmarket 2,45 today! Say no more!

Looking at todays riding arrangements with Dandys runners at Epsom and Musselburgh,i see its significant that Trotter heads to Scotlands capital to ride
Striking Spirit
when he could have had a couple of strong fancys at Epsom with Englands finest!I have had £30 e/w at 10/1 on the above and i also have had £20 e/w on
Something
at 12/1 in the 5,20 at Epsom,i notice Paul Quinn who won on Indian Trail brilliantly last year gets the ride on the horse who should have won the 6f sprint last year!
