One mare won a Group 1 for the third time today! Really good effort.

I was on Earthlight and really thought Barzalona had nicked it from the front but I reckon she won a shade more cosily than it looked.

Safe Voyage ran well too. Great race.

Earthlight just hasnt progressed enough from 2 to 3 it seems to win group 1s

Just a shame space blues didn’t make it

Frenchies theory that they faked his injury because earthlight was a guaranteed winner didnt exactly pan out

FF that’s a ridiculous thing to say. As well advertised the weekend has been run in a swamp, One Master was clearly going to love that. Earthlight was the best horse in this race, no doubt for me. He was drifting like a barge since Wednesday, the fact he still nearly won it shows how much better he is than anything in that race

What was ridiculous was your suggestion they pretended space blues was injured frenchy

Not my tongue in cheek comment

I don’t think I said anywhere that they pretended he was injured. My point was he was trained to win a group 1 and he peaked for the MDG and won it. Therefore they “kept him away” from Earthlight trying to win one. It happens and has happened many many times in the past, it used to be a standard strategy to keep horses from running against each other so it can’t be ridiculous FF.

Pinatubo, Space Blues and Earthlight all owned by Godolphin all possible for the Foret. Only one runs…….big shocker that lol

The bit that bites your theory is Space Blues being ruled out for the season Frenchy. He had Ascot, Breeders Cup and probably other international sprints they could send him too.

Space Blues has obviously picked up an injury?

They might just have decided to put him away for next year. Anyway I’ve no desire to drag up this old argument again.

Well done One Master backers, what a specialist filly she is!

It was tactically a very interesting race KrisKin. Not sure MB wanted to do that with earthlight if you watch it back, I think he thought he had no choice in end and had to be very careful not to completely set it up for One Master. He almost did it as well, almost a brilliant ride, but One Master is The Master in 7F soft!!
