Well I see he went red on Oddschecker in the past few days, one bookie pushed him to 6s recently so just assumed godlolphin were considering to run him elsewhere instead, that bookie has cut him to 7\2 in the last few hours though

Cheers Clint…..Mike i’d be angry with your Godolphin sources they’ve caught you out……lol

Nice to hear he’s a possible for the QE11 for all i don’t think he’ll win i’m happy with my price

I am not surprised in the slightest to hear that, Earthlight was shortening all week, Space Blues has a mystery end of season injury and Pinatubo has been having a break. Nothing at all to do with Godolphin not wanting to run them all together!!

Earthlight is a maximum bet material here, fill your boots at 5/2

    Earthlight 5/2

Well that’s a little daft to say Frenchy as Space Blues and Earthlight ran in the same race last time?!?!!
If they didn’t want them to face eachother they’d just run Space Blues at Ascot…..hardly worth faking an injury over lol.

Given how he flopped in the prix maurice de gheest I wouldnt want to betaking a short price about earthlight personally

I really am gutted about space blues he wouldve been a certainty with no pinatubo

I don’t think it’s draft Jack, Earthlight is not a 3 year old Group1 winner, Space Blues is. Makes perfect sense. It happens way way to much for it to be a coincidence. Earthlight missed the Guineas with a mystery knock if you remember. They could go to Ascot but CA clearly isn’t much of a fan of the day.

Hardly a flop FF, space blues was running for his 4th time of the season, Earthlight was second time out. In fact all of them in the top finishing places were more race fit than Earthlight. He is very well backed every time he runs and only lost once in 8 races. He’ll go off very short again so he’s definitely value at 5/2 and means we can back a couple of others as savers. There will be nothing very scary lining up against him, assuming Dream of Dreams waits for Ascot

Given it’s basically just a windy theory you’re trying to offer i do think it’s daft. They’ve ran them vs each other before so it really wouldn’t have been an issue. Again, you’re theory that CA doesn’t like Ascot, isn’t exactly a strong theory as to why he’d fake injury. There are other options too.

    Likely he’s injured lol.

That earthlight was backed so strongly would surely suggest fabre had him 100% for the de gheest

He was backed like defeat was out of the question, so I cant see fitness as an excuse personally

Neither were Grp1 winners when they raced together, that’s a big difference. Name me a race on Champions Day one of the top trainers in the world, Charlie Appleby has ever won?

It maybe a windy theory but there’s a lot of pointers there. This happens way too often when horses avoid each other for it to be a coincidence

I don’t have any problem with it by the way. It’s fair enough.

I think Space Blues was probably trained to peak when he did so now makes sense to put him away having won his Grp1. I think Pinatubo has ‘stepped aside’ because Earthlight is flying and Pinatubo can be trained for the Breeders Cup. All makes complete sense to me!

Ah okay, so a trainer hasn’t won a big race at a meeting, so now he has a very good contender, but instead, tells the world he’s injured to allow Fabre win a race in France. :rose:

I don’t disagree this happens in racing, but on this occasion i’d say i’m with FF91, it’s much more likely that there’s nothing to see here!
