September 12, 2008 at 13:47 #180591The RP had Laa Rayb as their tissue favourite at 9/4 when I looked at this race yesterday and Major Cadeaux at 5/2.. I would be amazed if MC didn’t start considerably shorter on the day..
September 12, 2008 at 18:34 #180647Cant believe Major Cadeaux is 7/4 on PP as I think the price will be more like evens come the off time.
Taken 7/4 and am reasonably comfortable with that.
Slightly worried about Laa Rayb as the horse seems to be progressing at an alarmingly good rate since the refused run at Ascot in May. 5/1 in places seems to be a bargain but I’ll stick with the 7f specialist that is…The Major!

September 12, 2008 at 20:34 #180671Passager and Bobs Surprise for me tomorrow (both 20-1). Both should like conditions. I think bobs surprises front running Greenham run where Paco boy only got on top of him in the dying strides was a very good piece of form with tomorrows race in mind as it was same trip and same same surface, interesting if the money comes for him.
September 12, 2008 at 23:37 #180720Passanger and Somnus lively outsiders with Al Quazi as favorate.
September 13, 2008 at 17:23 #180803Trouble in running very early on for Major Cadeaux. Seemed to get pushed side to side.
Even though the Major finished 2nd here i’d still put a line right through that run.
Next time out at 7f I can see the Major back to winning ways with ease
