HAYDOCK????
Thanks for that David – big surprise that, as they didn’t want to venture into Northern England as far as I was aware, apart from a possible tilt at the Nunthorpe. I just hope connections are aware of the change of venue! I’m sure they are, but I’m quite surprised that they’re taking him all the way up there. I guess it’s a case of ‘will travel for the right race’.

Good news!!
Erm…this is about a novice hurdle in Naas!!
There is something in the Post though that he’ll run in the Temple Stakes in May before the Royal Ascot double attempt. It’s been known for some time that he’ll go to Ascot, but I guess it was a choice of the Temple Stakes or Baden-Baden – I think the Temple Stakes is at Sandown if I remember correctly.

I think its because the international story is in the members area so the URL doesn’t change when you navigate to it.. Weird..
Anyway I hope he comes over..
January 17, 2009 at 03:29 #204542Shame the French cannot put on a five furlong group one and pay their travel exspenses too the Overdose people.
I think the France Gallope scored a massive own goal by not either rerunning the race on Pre Du Royale Oak day ( at least a couple of weeks after the orginal date ) or simply pronouncing that they would run another division that evening, effectly split the race into two divions with halved the prize money accordingly.
Why another European authority didnt grapse the nettle and put in a group one up here.
Newmarket could have cut a furlong off the Challenge stakes and upfraded it too group one and offer a fat check too get Overdose and March on Dor too run.
January 19, 2009 at 14:42 #205095Here’s Overdose probable programme for 2009:
19 April (?) – Kincsem Park ( Budapest) –
23 May – Haydock Park – Temple Stakes (Gr2) -1000 m
16 June – Royal Ascot – King’s Stand Stakes (Gr1) – 1000 m
20 June – Royal Ascot – Golden Jubilee Stakes (Gr1) -1200 m
10 July (?) – Newmarket – Darley July Cup (Gr1) – 1200 mA few months ago the owner of Overdose Zoltán Mikóczy said we would never see Overdose again running in Hungary. It wasn’t a suprise for people who know Hungarian horse sport situation.
Now this possible run on the 19th of April at Kincsem Park must be a bonus for Hungarian fans nothing else for sure. Mikóczy doesn’t earn anything on it. No people who could finance a horse like Overdose running in this country now. - AuthorPosts
