Few things in racing irk the committed jumps fan in me more than this.

The really annoying thing is that they can’t prove that horses are more likely to fall at an obstacle that wasn’t omitted.

Just jump the ******* fence/hurdle ffs!

I was going to go to uttoxeters Thursday evening meeting but probably will swerve it now because of this nonsense!

Don’t watch the 5.00 at Royal Ascot tomorrow, TC, rumour has it they’re omitting ALL the obstacles.

    I don’t mind that Ian.

Zoffee doesn’t strike me as a natural hurdler.

He does get his preferred good ground though.

And then when Vauban mops up the last in a double it’s a smashing little pay day!

Vauban is the biggest certainty since I said “yes please!” when last offered a hob nob.

I’m not sure why they’re even bothering to run the race tbh because he’s going to win it by the length of Ascot High Street.

There was 7/4 available the other day about him as well!

    Be closer to 4/7 tomorrow!

We’re not at home to Mr (or Ms) “Sitting On The Fence” here at TRF.

If we’re going down, it’s all guns blazing.

Vauban was briefly 9/4 with William Hill and I made the point in Big Races Discussion that, if the same-connections insane gamble on Gaelic Warrior at the Cheltenham Festival in last year’s big 4yo handicap hurdle was any guide, Vauban could go off incredibly short.

Let’s hope Vauban goes one better than Gaelic Warrior did on that occasion!

I keep being told Ruling Dynasty is Group class that has to be a slight concern – reverse forecast saver might be in order.

    You called it, ID.

If I had backed him, I would have been very happy when Moore was so positive. He clearly knew what he had under him!

    Thanks CAS.

Some will say it was an armchair ride for Ryan Moore, but it absolutely wasn’t.

I reckon Mullins has told him the horse is quality and will stay every yard so set a decent pace and, if no one wants to give him a lead, make all.

Moore has judged the fractions perfectly – world-class ride on a right good stayer, who never looked a natural hurdler to me and looked to be enjoying himself there.

Absolutely agree. It was a superb ride.

3 on the day for Moore. He was very good on all of them.
