Moe, same here, not much time to put my thoughts up the last couple of weeks. Hope the new pup is doing well.
It’s only yourself who’s allowed to aftertime on this thread, but since you mentioned him, I’ll aftertime myself.
Bet him last night at 28’s. Third season in a row I’ve had a proper big win from him. It was a proper “scream the house down” job. He has to be one of the most profitable horses I’ve followed.
Been an up and down few weeks, but this has been a great week.
I haven’t had a chance to say much on this thread, but Spark Plug fair kicked things off at 16’s the other night, and that was a fair bet. Love that horse. Thrown in Kylecrue at 66’s yesterday, and it’s been decent.
Obviously a few losers as well, but thankfully, bar Actinpieces who was a fair bet, they were all smaller punts.
December 10, 2018 at 00:31 #1388718Yes; I usually back Actinpieces, so was annoyed just prior to the race, that she was running [not sure what Pam Sly’s strike rate is at the moment]. I only ever break even [if that] with all of my tiny ew bets, but my cousin Pete reckons he deserves a cut of my 22 pence win [in his dreams lol].
December 10, 2018 at 01:05 #1388720Moe, keep every penny to yourself.
As for Actinpieces, he was too bad to be true, and it may just be that a repeat bid for The Kim Muir is on the cards.
December 13, 2018 at 22:44 #1389199Alex Dunn’s horses are doing well at the moment; might throw a few pennies at her runners over the next few day, albeit having missed her big priced successes today. Pam Sly’s strike rate is pretty poor by her standards; think I’ll just keep a watching brief on them for a while…
December 13, 2018 at 23:23 #1389221That was a very nice winner for her today Moe. I’ll be keeping an eye out for sure.
After that run from Actinpieces the other day, I’ll gladly sit out Any Pam Sly runners for now……..cue a barrel load of winners lol
December 14, 2018 at 00:30 #1389230Did I mention that my new dog’s kennel club name is Shades of Midnight? Not chosen by me, but by the breeder; I am pretty chuffed with it, though [even though I just call her The Rat].
December 14, 2018 at 14:42 #1389257What a brilliant name Moe, I’m loving that, wish it was the name for my Mutt.

December 15, 2018 at 14:16 #1389436There are no words to describe how much I bloody love that Frodon, what a horse.
I think he’ll come up short in it (again) but he has to take in The Ryanair, and had to have a small bet ew at 20’s, certainly after that.
December 15, 2018 at 22:17 #1389494Today was all about Frodon, my second biggest bet of the jumps season, and he did me proud. Happy to have him for The Ryanair, though he owes me nothing now.
Special mention for Cepage, who I could see head Ryanair as well, that was a big run.
I also have to mention Campeador. I don’t have too much interest in the G1 2 Mile Chases, but if he can iron out those mistakes, he must be a contender for The Arkle. As impressive as any other performance in that sphere this season, and you can still get 33’s.
Definitely playing tomorrow now, and really looking forward to Aspen Colorado at Carlisle. Bet him for The Stayers, but this Pertemps Qualifier, seems a more sensible route. Possibly too short tomorrow for me, but he’s paid his way twice now this season, and he surely only has to stand up tomorrow, to qualify for Cheltenham.
I was very impressed with Midnight Run st Galway, and though he has had hurdles entries, I’m hoping he could be a player in The Bumper. That’s certainly not a given, bought by Gigginstown, who aren’t known for targeting The Cheltenham Bumper, and he has had Hurdle entries. 33’s is tempting though. Even more tempting is the 7’s tomorrow. I’m holding out for bigger, but I’ll watch the market, and I’ll have a good try on him.
Others to catch the eye tomorrow….
The Trigger 12’s, and The Long Mile 33’s, both look generous. The Tara Hurdle is a cracker, and though these top end Irish Handicap Hurdles are a nightmare for me, I like the look of Rooster Byron 10’s, and two of the outsiders, Cliff House 66’s, and Dromore Lad 28’s, look massive to 6 Places.
December 15, 2018 at 22:34 #1389496Glad you had a decent chunk on Frodon as you’re always loyal…he definitely goes in your favourites hall of fame. Good luck tomorrow.
December 15, 2018 at 22:46 #1389501Thanks Grass, he sure does, he’s been so good to me.
December 16, 2018 at 11:39 #1389538Yes I’m bonkers and going to back Plinth in the 1.00 Navan…

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!December 16, 2018 at 12:56 #1389543Jack, with Rooster a Non Runner, I’ve went and added him myself. This is fourth time I’ll have bet him the last few months, and he’s fair paid his way with those ew returns. Win only today at 16’s though, just in case he does it, and only to cover the stakes for the other pair. Decent race this.

December 17, 2018 at 07:53 #1389620He made a blunder at the last or second last that put pay to his chances. I think he was probably going to place it not, paddypower we’re paying 6, when I say place btw lol
