Sadly not.
There was a round on the history of Timeform (prescribed for Ginge) and Nicky hadn’t received the memo.
A pleasant man training from an almost idyllic location keeping Lambourn area big jumping winners going almost single handed. On the other hand I can’t help feeling 65% of his string would be doing better elsewhere. Chasers showing a lot of early promise rarely carry it through for long.
Do know Nicky and the team did well but believe the winners were the Racing Post team of Graham Dench, Craig Thake, Lee Mottershead and I think Steve Dennis.
Sadly the quiz is no more Nathan, no chance of being in the West Berkshire Racing Club A team now.
Although a racing pal of the quiz master Phil Brown, sadly I never had any input on subjects of the rounds, Glad. Don’t think a round on the History Of Timeform would’ve gone down well with the Raceform team. LOL

Wanted to fit in some other “names” I’ve competed against in the quiz, TTC; like A P McCoy and John Francome, Mike Cattermole and Tanya Stevenson… Just couldn’t think of a way to do it.

It’s difficult to know just what each individual knew HDLG, because there was 4 people to each team and written answers. Tanya does seem to know her stuff although if I remember rightly she was only in one or two quizzes.
Mike Cattermole was a regular and probably knows more than his TV image too. Cat was in the “Freelance Four” team along with once lead writer for the Sporting Life Geoff Lester. They won the Elite competition a time or two.
