Absolutely Moe, Sunak was the lesser of two evils for me so I wanted him to win as he’d had have been less damaging for the country (despite being a better prospect for their election chances). Now it’s seemingly a done deal we may as well accept it and await electoral carnage.

The latest poll of Tory members had 66% backing Truss and 34% supporting Sunak.

The YouGov survey of 1,089 was conducted from 12-17 August.

The percentages were calculated by excluding undecided members and non-voters.

Don’t like either of them, but at least Sunak cuts a more fluent and articulate prime ministerial figure. Truss looks out of her depth

I really, REALLY, want Truss to win it – I am struggling to think of a PM with a manifestly lower IQ than her in the history of British politics.

She is the one the Tory members seem to want – and she is the one Labour members probably want even more!
