Been told by a good source that the next Fulham
manager will be Martin Jol, I’ve just taken the 5/4
from Ladbrokes.Just thought I’d pass this on.
July 17, 2010 at 07:38 #306949Jol being confirmed later on today.

If Ladbrokes were offering 5/4 when you say they were then they’re bloody stupid – this story was reported on the Sporting Life website almost 15 hours before your original post.
Well done all the same.

Thanks AJ, I put the bet on at 5:00am Friday, yeah, took 5/4.

Matthew was right regarding his price. Betfair still had Jol available at 2.2 late last night;

I know because I checked.
However, Fulham will not announce their new manager until next week at the earliest so Matthew is wrong regarding his second post – they are not announcing Jol as the new manager today.
In fact, there is still some uncertainty as to whether it is Jol who has got the job given that you can still back him at 2/5 with most firms and 1.4 on Betfair.
Surely if it was a done deal then the markets would be suspended.
Don’t rule out Dave Jones being the man to get the nod.
July 17, 2010 at 13:46 #306989Hills are ‘seven on’ but yeah, it doesn’t appear to be a done deal
as yet.July 17, 2010 at 13:50 #306990He’s obviously the most likely guy to get the job Matthew given his current odds but you should know that whilst a market is still active, nothing is certain in any sport.
I hope he gets the job for your sake, but it’s very interesting to see Dave Jones come in from around 30 yesterday morning to 7 now on Betfair, and still attracting support.

I’m more worried about Tiger, if he wins, I win a nice few quid

I suppose teletext is just as reliable as other "sources"

July 20, 2010 at 08:09 #307439He’s staying at Ajax, oh well.
July 20, 2010 at 09:05 #307443My point proved Matthew. Nothing ‘has won’ while a market is still active. Don’t reckon much to your ‘source’ either
Can’t be a very good source saying that Jol will be named manager ‘today’ when the Fulham website was tellng the world nothing will be announced until ‘next week’.Dave Jones now the new favourite with many firms though Jol not completely out of it yet if the betting is anything to go by.

Fulham are a small club I don’t blame him.
Anyway, how good was Klaasen last night? Awesome
July 20, 2010 at 10:01 #307454Last night… phwaa… first round mate.
He turns to jelly, or should that be jelle, when the pressure is on mate. He has a lot of ability, but he’s like 99% of the world’s players – as soon as Taylor is in the building he sh!ts himself.
How good was Anderson – 10-0

Can’t wait for Paul Nicholson tonight, explosive!
July 20, 2010 at 12:43 #307493Jol definitely going to Fulham, ssnews!
Hope you followed my advice.
July 20, 2010 at 12:56 #307496What advice would that be? That he was being confirmed as Fulham manager last Saturday, and that we should take the 5/4

He was as big as 4.8 on Betfair this morning mate.
