Taking a look at this year’s renewal, the key takeaway is that Willie Mullins has no entries in this £56,270 (to the winner) race. Not one.

    https://www.racingpost.com/racecards/3/ayr/2026-04-18/915373/

In 2024 he had Bialystok (second), Westport Cove (9th) and Alvaniy (fell).

Last year he put in Bunting (6th), Ethical Diamond (7th!!!), Batman Girac (8th) and Karafon (fell).

Does that again mean he’s not going for it in terms of the UK trainers title?

Interesting to see that Burdett Road is entered after those four top quality flat races at Meydan and Riyadh so far in 2026.

Two straightforward choices for me with Cracking Rhapsody and Captain Hugo.

Thought the former was much improved in The County, and Captain Hugo very impressive at Kelso

I’ll probably bet one of them on the day, and at a bigger price I’ll also go with Dedicated Hero.

Had high hopes for him at start of season, but he’s been very disappointing, and I just wonder if they know what best to do with him. Can’t be backing Antepost as he looks suitable for one of the novice chases too. Still a good horse in there, and I’ll bet him once fields are clearer…………though tempted to bet before he runs at Kelso too

    Shortlist
    Captain Hugo
    Cracking Rhapsody
    Dedicated Hero

Dedicated won yesterday Bobby after a wind opp , Sandy knows what’s he’s doing , after that first novice run just behind the Cheltenham winner it’ll be novice chasing , I do wonder if he’ll get an entry in the Ayr future novice race , if not he’ll be one to follow over a fence next season

I’m confident that I’ve never had an ap bet in this before, but a horse I really like is Kihavah. I bet him in it last year, and I’ll take that 25-1 ew

Kris, he’s blue across the board, how much did you have on :yahoo:
I like him too, and have taken 25-1 win

Does anyone know if Tutti Quanti is due to run? I can see him in the 5 day decs but can’t find out whether he’s an intended runner.

Not quite the 33’s he was when I put him up, but taken 14’s on Dedicated Hero just now.

This is the type of race I had in mind for him at start of season, though I did expect him to be up in trip too. 14’s probably short enough, based on last run, and his overall form this year, but he’s a notebook horse, so I’ll keep the faith

    20’s taken

    Dedicated Hero 20’s

Sorry wotr, he’s not in there, though I can assure you that it wasn’t my cash thank god

I’m a bit lost with this now, but following VtC and a Sandy Thomson runner is a well trodden path, so Dedicated Hero for me too. I’ll follow you in Bobby and hopefully not jinx you

I’ve just had a second glance at this, and I do like Captain Hugo too. I could see me adding him as well. I thought he was a good winner last time, and if I’m right in saying the yard likes this meeting

Oh I was betting him anyway Kris. I’m surprised he doesn’t run. I’ll have a second stab with Queenie St Clair

I’d like to bet Tutti Quanti at around 5/1 despite the top-weight. This is a massive drop in class and a bit easier than the Betfair Hurdle.

I like Secret Squrrel here. The County Hurdle didn’t go well, but before that he has shown good form behind Alexei, Joyeuse and Kabral du Mattan.

Backed him at 12/1 yesterday. Probably a bit less with Tellherthename out of the race.

    Secret Squirrel 12/1 EW

Tutti Quanti if not showing the attitude shown at Cheltenham should be winning this , I’ve played Dedicated Hero e.w but I think he’ll struggle here , I’ll be honest I was hoping to see him over a fence here , I’ll be following him next year as a novice chaser , that first run form is volcano hot
