Stayed on alright and probably needs six at a track like Wolves.
October 9, 2009 at 23:21 #252660Damn I missed it. That’s good news though.
October 13, 2009 at 23:23 #253229Given an entry in a claimer back at Wolves on Saturday Night,no idea at this stage whether the plan is to run.
October 15, 2009 at 14:28 #253456Declared to run, looks quite competitive for the grade.
October 17, 2009 at 22:50 #253966Definitely needs six as he got badly outpaced after breaking well and showing up for a couple of furlongs.
October 18, 2009 at 23:38 #254150I saw it this time; very disappointing after a good start.
October 25, 2009 at 11:19 #255270He goes to Catterick on Tuesday in what should be ideal ground conditions.
October 27, 2009 at 16:29 #255665Just watched the race he never really seemed to get into it and Catterick may have been just a touch to sharp.
I think maybe giving him a try at 5f at Southwell might be the answer?
What do you think?
October 27, 2009 at 18:27 #255695He was a bit disappointing.
Broke well enough but didn’t quite get the cover he needs and didn’t really finish with any ooomph.
The main reason for not going to Southwell is the kickback,he would absolutely hate it.
He has had a spell in the doldrums before and then ran up a good consistent sequence of runs.
Maybe age is catching up on him,but he has shown glimpses of form this season Thirsk,Ponty & Ayr) without building on it.
I don’t know if that will be it for the season,he may have one more run.
At this stage the intention is to keep going next season but again I couldn’t say for definite either way.
I’m just glad we ran in the first division, visibilty even worse by the time they got to the last race!
6f has been muted,so we’ll have to see whether we can perhaps find a suitable race over that trip.
October 27, 2009 at 20:18 #255727It’s soul destroying isn’t it? It’d just be nice to see him come close and get a couple of places at least.
October 28, 2009 at 14:57 #255864Indeed,may go back to Catterick next Tuesday where he has an entry in the claimer.
January 1, 2010 at 23:46 #266996Frank has an entry at Southwell on Thursday in a 0-85.
January 2, 2010 at 20:32 #267233Good Lord!
January 3, 2010 at 19:03 #267429Good Lord!
Indeed!
Obviously not speaking in an out of turn way here, you know I’m not like that but what are your thoughts on the entry mate?
http://www.racingpost.com/horses2/cards … 2010-01-07January 5, 2010 at 11:17 #267817You weren’t the only one bemused at the entry, the only thing I can think is that they were hoping for a small field and a rise in the weights and with it being John’s local not too far to travel.
Anyways he aint declared, now there’s a 0-50 at Wolves next Thursday which he will surely get an entry for.January 5, 2010 at 20:58 #268068I shall look out for him and wish him luck as ever
January 6, 2010 at 12:45 #268200Plus the weather is holding things up a bit.
