19 ran NR: Awaal, Bass Player

Migration refused to race and for this competition I’m counting him as a non runner.

Anyone who selected one or more of the non runners will have their substitute horse takes it’s place.
If after that, or no substitute horse available then calculations will be based on what actually ran.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

If you’re talking about Migration refusing to race, the same can happen in National hunt racing. As I remember King John Castle refusing in the National the year after he finished second. Also when at Aintree in 1989 I remember one refusing to race. The jeers he received from the crowd.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.

    Apologies To Steve75

The substitute race is because I’m usually working when Saturday comes around, I admit as a substitute race it was a good one, but I have promised the Lincoln was one of the races promised it had to be that if possible.

Maybe it’s my fault for putting the title of the 3.15 Newbury (which was nearly a hour late).

The substitute race developed because a few years ago the race I picked didn’t run, so I decided to look for a race that was more likely to take place in such a circumstance, usually a low class All Weather race, but I do try and pick a decent grade with a good few numbers of runners in it.

I will try and make the main race stand out more in future, sorry but can’t score the wrong race.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.

    HONOURABLE MENTIONS

007Canfordcliffs and myself had the fifth placed horse (Chazzesmee) as our reserve, while Refuse To Bend did the same to Alpha Crucis.

Chiver1987 did select Chazzesmee, but as his win selection.

Steve75 selected the wrong race, I will try and differentiate the reserve race in future.

Quelle Farce had 2 non runners, meaning just one actually ran, so his stakes is 50 points.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.

    AND THE POINTS GOES TO

The Lincoln proved a hard race to solve and nobody picked the winner.

ILLAVIM was the best this week with the 4th place ALPHA CRUCIS

    Illavim’s old score (-96.87) – stake (100) + winnings (200) = new score (+3.13)

DFWARD and myself also grabbed a few points with the third place NAVIGO

    Dfward’s old score (-156.25) – stake (100) + winnings (162.50) = new score (-93.75)

    Red Rum 77’s old score (+319.31) – stake (100) + winnings (162.50) = new score (+381.81)

LATTAM was the runner up, and MICHAEL WALSH, NATHAN HUGHIES and WYLDESYDE had him.

    Michael Walsh’s old score (-81.50) – stake (100) + winnings (125) = new score (-56.50)

    Nathan Hughes’s old score (-947.06) – stake (100) + winnings (125) = new score (-922.06)

    Wyldesyde’s old score (-1,450) – stake (100) + winnings (125) = new score (-1,425)

JOHN GOOCH also got points from the fifth horse CHAZZESMEE

    John Gooch’s old score (-924.37) – stake (100) + winnings (40.62) = new score (-983.75)

Quelle Farce only had 1 ran for him.

    Quelle Farce’s old score (+213.26) – stake (50) + winnings (0) = new score (163.26)

You've got to accentuate the positive.

First: The usual but all important check your scores for errors and let me know if I’d made any.
I will correct it if any are found ASAP.

Second : As always I must give my acknowledgement to Pat123 for inspiring this competition.

Third : The Sandown Gold Cup, or the date it should be ran on, will be the final race for this season. The new season will begin the week after, most will be flat races, but the odd NH race might get picked.
