Yes, Main Desire misses Royal Ascot.

The trainer said she suffered a setback this morning and that it was too early to say how long she would be out of action for.

Happy Like A Fool is generally 5/2 now and I believe that price will still beat SP comfortably.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

She was to be my main bet of the meeting

Unlucky, the trainer has said she probably won’t run again this season.

As Main Desire has gone, I’ll switch my NAP to Lady Aurelia.

It will be a joy to watch her in full flight Tuesday as she breaks the track record.

NAP – Order Of St George (can’t see anything else in the race getting within 5 lengths)

LAY – Lady Aurelia (looks worth taking on when you see the real class acts lining up against her)

E/W – Hors De Combat (failed by a neck behind Oh This Is Us off a pound lower mark in April, didn’t have the best of luck in the Victoria Cup and 40/1 is more than fair for the Hunt Cup)

    Lay Ascot Stakes – Penhill
Ew Ascot Stakes – The Cashel Man

If the Cashel man runs, he is a cracking shout.

Backed him when running on earlier this season and the Ascot stakes would be right up his ally.

Blue Point is as big as 6/1 – you’re gonna have a big liability if you want to make much cash laying him.

Thank you Middle, I hope you are right. I am a very small Stakes man these days but I had a fair bet for me on him in The Cesarewitch each way, and he got me a nice return. I am hoping he runs here but have not heard any firm news
