Thank you for the very important Breeders Cup update John
..What a shame that Sovereignty won’t be taking part but the main thing is that he comes back fighting fit for next season.. ❤️
What a fabulous and exciting horse he has been this season .. get well soon Sovereignty.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...October 30, 2025 at 14:04 #1743308Trying to cut my “short list” down to a final ten is always difficult. I’m down to about 15 or so…. one of those runs on Friday, which is far from ideal…. then there’s the Breeders Cup comp to think about…. and our regular weekly comp selections… so much to do, so little time!!
Good Luck narrowing things down over the next couple of days everyone!
October 30, 2025 at 16:19 #1743313Tell me about it Andre
I have my Ten horses almost ready to go and sat up last night trying to figure out 2 days Breeders Cup choices as we are off to Newmarket tomorrow for 2 days so also been trying to study up for that too…add to that Neil’s Handicap Compy and Select 3 Horses and it’ll be a miracle if I don’t mess up somewhere, We’ll certainly need to keep our wits about us this weekend
Best of luck everyone.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...October 31, 2025 at 14:34 #1743385Have a wonderful time at Newmarket Jac! Hope you find a few winners!
I posted both days of my Breeders Cup comp selections as well. Busy weekend here – still working on my TTF list…. getting closer. I will post that later today. Weekly comp picks will get done, if I get time.
October 31, 2025 at 15:40 #1743397At Newmarket waiting for the last race Andre..very windy with light showers.
Have backed 2 x winners Castle Rock 8/13f and Post Rider 3/1.Word going round that Huggable could run well in the last ..

Bobby has my 10 horses to put up on Saturday…my Breeders Cup picks are in ..so just 3 horses and Neil’s Handicap to sort..
Best of luck must go the horses are in the paddock soon…
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...October 31, 2025 at 19:07 #1743422Classic Rock coming home after winning the 2.47 at Newmarket today.. Not an easy ride for young Toby Moore as Classic Rock drifted left but he was a chip of the old block and kept his cool to bring Classic Rock home the winner.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 1, 2025 at 11:08 #1743511Thanks for sharing the photo Jac! Glad to hear Bobby has your TTF picks – I was looking for them earlier.
I saw you posted yours earlier Graham, nice job! I think Catherine and John are also in – there might have been a few more Meydan regulars as well.
Not sure what’s going on with the Breeders Cup Comp – Neil hasn’t posted results from Day 1 yet. (I know I did horribly.)
Good Luck with any bets and all the comp picks today.
November 2, 2025 at 11:05 #1743622We are fortunate to be living in Willie Mullins world…… what’s next, a Derby winner? Amazing!!
November 2, 2025 at 13:55 #1743654Willie Mullins taking one to the States?, how did I miss it

Anyway this just shows that truth is stranger than fiction. I had a pretty dire Breeders
Cup Now there is no European or PGA (US) golf of any merit, so I just gave it up. I was
reading through some golf stuff when up sprung the LPGA (ladies) Maybank Championship played
in Kuala Lumpur. Now by chance, or fate, My son Ross was in Kuala Lumpur having flown there on Friday and returning
today. So I thought I’ll have a look despite I’ve never bet on a LPGA tournament. Call it brave, or
enough info to be hauled away with the men in white coats. The only name I recognised was Miya
Yamasitta, not because of her odd name, I’d seen a picture of her as she had won a Major. She’s a
4’10” Japanese lady. The leader Hye-Jin Choi was 19 under, a couple behind were close and Yamashitta
was 9 shots behind on 11 under. Madnes !!! But she was 80/1 2 places so against my better judgement I
backed her.Fast forward to 6.30am, sleepy eyed I brought up the scoreboard on my phone, Yamashitta had finished
after a 7 under par round at 18 under. The leader at the start of the last round was 1 over for her
round, which put them both on 18 under. Choi still had 2 holes to play and 2 others had 1 hole to play
and were 17 under.Anyway, Yamashitta, Choi and 1 other all finished 18 under. Thet play their first drive
on the play-off, and the hooter goes for inclement weather….Aaaaagonising
I had to wait about an hour until they were cleared to start, I know I’m
making a bit of a meal of this, so Yamashitta rolls in a 20ft putt on the
1st play off hole
What else can I say, stranger than fiction

Well done
You are top man with those golfing bets.
Just got back from Newmarket a few hours ago..had the most fantastic time 5 winners in total and several places

Wasn’t it amazing to see Willie Mullins winning the Breeders Cup with Ethical Diamond last night. He looked as pleased as Punch.🤭🤣
Rebel’s Romance ran an amazing race, love him to bits and I got 3rd with El Cordobes.
I’ll put up the final leaderboard tomorrow Andre.. I ended up with about 15080 points Position 190th..with just the one Bonus Race it was pretty poorly run and not much chance to catch the runaway Leaders.
In Neil’s Breeders Cup contest I’m not sure how I faired but I know I got placed horses in every race but the last on Saturday night as we sat up watching it in our hotel room until the early hours with a bottle of bubbly 🍾.
Can’t believe Ive made an early start in Bobby’s TTF compy with Resplendent Grey winning today .. have you noticed the theme running through my ten selections this year?..I’m just playing it for fun and it’s off to a good start…no prizes if you say they are ALL GREY HORSES 🫠 .

I’m off for a little cry now the flat season has come to a close…
Only 164 days to the first day of the Craven Meeting..
Take care and hope Neil posts up those Breeders Cup results soon Andre…the suspense is killing me. 🤭🤣

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 2, 2025 at 18:08 #1743701What a brilliant weekend at Newmarket Jac, 5 winners and plenty
of places, the bookmakers must have loved you. It makes it all
the better
Fantastic for Willie Mullins, to be honest I left it far too
late looking through them, and it showed
I’ll need to send half my winnings to my boy, if he hadn’t travelled
to Kuala Lumpur, I would never even had a look at the field if it weren’t
for him. Thanks Ross
Good start with your 10 to follow, c’mon the Greys

I’m not displeased with my final tally in the Godolphin compy, I
did have a late start.Points 10110
Position 460November 2, 2025 at 22:33 #1743710Thanks for your final Godolphin score Graham, not a bad tally considering the lack.of Bonus Races.

Thank goodness that your son Ross’s flight into Kuala Lumpur gave you the idea of looking into the Ladies Golf Championship taking place there and great that you were reminded of a Championship winning Lady golfer at an eye watering price to empty Paddy’s pockets today..👍😃
Hope Ross enjoys his surprise bonus.. ⛳️

JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 3, 2025 at 14:36 #1743741Great job with the golf Graham, you certainly have a magic touch when it comes to finding those big priced players! Love to see it!!

That sounds like an amazing weekend at Newmarket Jac – well done!
and a lovely start to the TTF comp for you.I’m not sure what is going on with the Breeders Cup comp – I haven’t seen any results yet. I don’t think I did very well at all. Hopefully you got on the podium Jac! Not sure why Neil took over running this comp from the Raymos.
My final Godolphin score is 14,490 – and 224th.
Have a good day at Kempton Darren. Hope you find a few winners.
November 3, 2025 at 15:00 #1743742Andre..this is amazing.. I actually won the Breeders Cup Competition by ONE POINT
I managed to find 2 winners and 7 placed horses out of 10 races on Saturdays card.. Can hardly believe it as I rushed in my choices early. I did take a word of advice that Frankie Dettori actually said about Del Mar racetrack when he was talking about his chances on Wimbledon Hawkeye in an article in Racing Post and that was regarding the draw.
His advice was that to be in with a chance especially on races up to 1 mile on Turf at Del Mar you needed to be drawn 7 or lower.
I kind of factured that into my choices and luckily it worked out.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 3, 2025 at 15:27 #1743743Superb return on the Golf, BigG…

Jac, I’ve just seen you won the Breeders Cup…

You won it in 2023 and no comp last year so by the time the next one comes around no one else would have got near winning it since 2022…
