How can Buick ride in Canada in the evening and then be riding in the UK a few hours later? I don’t travel abroad these days but when I used to go on holiday in Europe it would take me days to get over it.
September 19, 2025 at 23:05 #1740312Ive always wondered that Moe and looking at his two rides the next day back in the UK they both ran very poorly.
As fit as Will Buick is surely having to watch your weight and being exoected to give 100% to get a horse home must take it’s toll.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 19, 2025 at 23:22 #1740315Andre..Well done with your Godolphin swaps we’re both very close in the competition as I am on 10940 Points also with 2 swaps remaining. Just 100 points in it..
As you say we have a long way to go to catch the Leaders but maybe they’ve used all their swaps up.
hope so..🤪
No Bonus Races in sight..’as rare as hen’s teeth’ as Blackadder would say.
Sad news indeed about the passing of Robert Redford loved him in Butch Cassidy but he was outstanding in All The Presidents Men..

Best of luck to all with the comps tomorrow…
Was hoping to get back on the Rowley Mile at Newmarket tomorrow but Dave not been to well this week so staying home, much better now thankfully, so hoping to go next Friday with friend Maggie.Graham..hope you are now feeling a bit better and that Marjorie is doing well also..Thoughts to you both.
Jac xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 20, 2025 at 11:40 #1740344Sorry you couldn’t get back to Newmarket this weekend Jac. I hope Dave will be doing better soon, so that you and Maggie can get there next week. I’m sure we’ll put our remaining swaps to good use in the Godolphin comp!
Graham – Hope you & Marjorie are doing well.
Just one smaller craft show today, then a rare Sunday “off” at home.
Good Luck with all bets and comp picks! I hope Commanche Falls comes storming home today!!
Take Care
September 21, 2025 at 19:10 #1740473Hope you’re enjoying your day off Andre..

A racing friend of mine went to William Haggas’s yard today and What’s Apped me some lovely photos including this one of a very cheeky Al Aasy poking his tongue out at us all..🤣😅
He looks very fit and well ready for his next race .. ❤️Al Aasy at home for Henry Cecil Open Weekend, Newmarket ❤️
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 21, 2025 at 19:41 #1740474Thanks Jac and Andre, I’m feeling a ton better than I had been
for the last few weeks. Coming good was perfect timing as I booked
tickets nearly a year ago for good seats in the Pitlochry Festival
Theatre and booked the pre theatre dinner, they are doing The Great
Gatsby. That’s on the Wednesday and we are staying the Thursday too
at a lovely B&B we stayed at a while back. It’s a long time since we’ve
managed to get away so, all going well, I’m really looking forward to
it.I hope that Dave is doing well Jac and with no recurrence of his
very scary loss of memory for a while. Best wishes to him
September 21, 2025 at 21:57 #1740475love Al Aasy
what a cheeky boy he is on and off the track

September 21, 2025 at 22:32 #1740476I thought you’d like that one Nathan.

Here’s another great shot of Maureen Haggas with the love of her life (no not William
) but Hamish ❤️Apparently Maureen told my friend that the love she has for him is not reciprocated as Hamish prefers to remain aloof most of the time.
Yes we can see that Maureen..lol 😅🤣Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 21, 2025 at 22:56 #1740477Graham…So glad to hear that you and Marjorie are managing a few days away this week and taking in a show and a stay away to unwind, you both really deserve it so have a fantastic time.

Thank you for your welcone PM I will be getting back to you soon and thank you also for your good wishes for Dave who has thankfully had no recurrence of that scary sudden memory loss (TGA) he suffered last Monday. He has a check up booked tomorrow at the GP.
I loved what you said in your PM and I told Dave about it and he agreed…’if you’re going to grow old you’re going to need to have a sense of humour 😅🤣’ and you have that in spades Graham..it’s definitely the best medicine ever.💊

September 27, 2025 at 10:47 #1740699Darren..
Sorry late answering your question it’s been hectic at home this week and I did manage to get to Newmarket yesterday and have to say it was an extremely difficult day to find winners but I managed two and a place which just saw me through.
Well done with Zeus Olympios
he was one of my winners 🏆 and must say he was outstanding..Well done for getting the 3/1. He is going to be an exciting prospect for the 2026 season and Karl Burke said after racing that he will now be put away until then.By The Book so disappointing and Godolphin only managed one winner Secret Love which thankfully was my 2nd winner but the favoured Godolphin horse Spirited Style just didn’t seem herself yesterday after disappointing in Dussuldorf last time out. Will Buick had an unusually blank day not one winner from some very high profile rides.

I do have a notebook 2yo horse for you who won the 6th race yesterday if you haven’t noticed him already Darren Enoch beautifully bred by Frankel out of Darkova and a half brother to Azamour. First time out he just burst through at the furlong from home marker and powered home. Very very impressive horse with Mount Olympios it looks like 2026 could see some exciting newcomers coming through.
Good luck today everyone in the competitions

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 27, 2025 at 11:51 #1740710Zeus Olympios looks to have a powerful long stride Jac…
Enoch won easily in the end but for most of the race I couldn’t see Battle Apple getting beat
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
September 27, 2025 at 16:59 #1740750I know Nathan I backed him too.
BA will come on for that race he looked well in himself in the paddock. Enoch just sprouted wings whilst the others ended uo fighting out the places.
Disappointing day for me yesterday but Boiling Point’s win has put the spring back in my step
Sorry I didn’t manage to get a picture of him for you I left my mobile in the car yesterday it dropped under my seat
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 28, 2025 at 09:31 #1740775Just see your winner in the Cambridgeshire Jac, top bombing , well done again
September 28, 2025 at 10:55 #1740782Thanks Nick..I’m glad Boiling Point had a big nose 🤣😅 it saw him home in a heart stopping photo finish. Great top weight carrying achievement. Terrific front running ride from Clifford Lee and Karl Burke is on fire. 🔥
50/1 is the best AP bet Ive ever had.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 28, 2025 at 12:02 #1740786OMG Jac! Well done with Boiling Point!! That’s HUGE
what a lovely AP bet! Were you at Newmarket to see him win? How exciting! Hopefully Louise jumped on him as well. Glad to hear Dave is doing better.I hope you enjoy your getaway Graham and so glad to hear you are feeling better! I hope you had a good few bets on the Europeans to win the Ryder Cup. It’s almost “in the bag” already – just 3 points today (I think that’s right).
I did manage to find a 14/1 winner in the Pick 3 Comp – so nice to get a few points there.
Just “the usual” here, with plenty of candles and craft shows. Temps are well above average for this time of year here, with no rain in sight.
Trump’s dementia and craziness continues….. to think it’s only been about nine months and we still have three more years of him. Enough to make me want to move away!
Take Care Everyone!
