Nicely done with Dancing King Jac, sounds like he did it with the minimum
of fuss :good: I think I missed that you had a double Darren, well done to
    you too :good:

I wasn’t going to have any on at Meydan today, but I clocked an ex one
of Andre Fabre’s running in the 3.30 Remorse 9/1 5 places Skybet. He
was decent enough in France over 11 and 12f, and on his introduction over
an insufficient 8f he was closest at the finish. I fancy him to have a
decent chance of winning this, and I can’t see him being out of the 1st
5, which Sky have really stuck their neck out giving the extra places.

    Good luck today

Thanks Graham and well done with Remorse, he won it so well, Bright Start had every chance to go on and win if good enough. :good:

    Later I have…

    4.50
    Alkameel . Win
    Desert Peace .. EW
    Rev.Forecast

    5.25
    Mayaadeen .. Win

    Combi Double

I know it’s after the race but I did have just £2 win on Al Mureib 28/1 in the 3.05.. He was the class act in that race being Ex-Saeed Bin Suroor.

I won £56 for £2 and I could hear Hein shouting at me for not putting more on.. ;-)

Hope Nick is OK he hasn’t been around for a bit…Jac :bye:

Really pleased with Desert Peace winning :yahoo: Have only just seen the result as my daughter rang right in the middle of the race.
Got 6/1 for Desert Peace EW and a chance of a double if Mayaadeen wins.
    Fingers tightly crossed.

Just a bit of fun today and small profit .. Meydan is such an exciting track it certainly has helped me through the winter months with very few decent flat races.

Bet you are all getting excited about next week and the start of the Festival, such a shame you can’t be there this year Graham but TV coverage will be excellent and we have Nathan’s compy. :yahoo:

Well done again Jac, this time with Desert Peace :good:

Yep it’s a pity that I can’t be there this time for the Festival,
but I’m still very much looking forward to it and as you say we
have the Cheltenham Competition with Nathan. I’m going to stick
my winnings on Remorse into the Cheltenham pot, I ring-fenced my
grand with Takingrisks so I’m ready for them B-)

Go get ’em Graham. What a bet that was on Takingrisks. I sometimes think I don’t put enough on my horses as Hein used to moan at me about, but Im comfortable with it so I think that’s what matters.
    Not long now :rose:

Definitely right to keep with what your comfortable with Jac. In general
I’m a tenner E/W better (is that even a word  ) as I tend to go
for big prices, or 20 quid on the nose if it’s below 20s, or maybe 16s.
If I’ve been having a bit of a purple patch I’ll stretch to 20 E/W (as
with Takingrisks at 40/1). The only times I’ve gone above that is when
it’s been a mega big meeting such as Cheltenham/Aintree or Derby/Guineas
or the traditional big betting handicaps. I don’t have a golf club
membership, I don’t have a football season ticket and I’m not prone
to propping the bar up at the weekend (althought there’s nothing wrong
with propping the bar up at the weekend…..been there done that) so I’m
happy having a punt with my racing/golf but never high enough that it would
hurt me if I lost. I’ve been puting my golf bets up in Darren’s thread since
2015 and haven’t had a negative year yet so it’s paid for the inevitable
    barron patch with the nags.

I love the racing and the competitions and the craic, especially in this
thread. Racing has had a few dark days recently, very few things shock me
but I didn’t expect it to sink to the new lows that it has. Lets hope there
is no more of it and no casualties at The Festival to hand more ammunition
to people who would rather see racing disappear from our screens.

Good luck everyone and stay safe :good:

Well said Graham :good: It has been the most awful time for the sport.

Been out most of day up hospital with hubs Dave for a procedure. Thankfully he got a good result which was a great relief. :good:

Back with some bets tomorrow and good luck..Jac

Wilson!!! :yahoo: What a good boy. Thanks for the Pup-Date Jac :good:

I was looking at Hollie Doyle’s mounts at Chelmsford tomorrow – she could grab a handful of winners.

I’m always undecided about whether to post my Pick 3 horses in the 4PP contest. What do you do?

    Stay Safe Everyone!

Thanks Andre..we love Wilson to bits he makes us laugh all the time.😅🤣😂

I took this screenshot of him while I was talking to him, he has more intelligence than some politicians who shall remain nameless.

Yes I do post my 3 horses on 4PP most of the time and try to include a big price if I can because of the EW scoring.

Gone for my old mate RISE HALL to win the Lincoln Trial. He’s running for a new trainer after leaving Martyn Meade’s yard. One of Frankel’s early crop he needs some luck but decent jockey and caught my eye last run even though he was only 6th.
RP description says he ran on one paced but it didn’t look that way to my eye.

Have to take a few risks as my score is abysmal in 3 horses and Pat’s Handicap I’m lined up for the Wooden Spoon.

Best of luck today .. Will keep an eye on Hollie’s mounts tonight.
Big week coming up. :good: Jac

Super pic of Wilson Jac, he’s listening to every word…..brains and brawn.

Sticking to competition picks today, although my nap was Leoncavallo
who is a N/R. that leaves the following (just about to jump off)

    All Sandown

    1.50 Striking a Pose 12/1 Betfred

    3.35 Annsam 14/1 William Hill

    3.00 Billams Legacy 25/1 5 places Skybet

    Good luck :good:

Yes, Wilson looks super smart. There are plenty of politicians here too that are dumber than a box of rocks!

I’ve done the same with my Pick 3 and 4PP contests, so far. I do like the scoring in the 4PP contest. I’m doing alright in Pat’s Handicap, but it’s early days in that one and I’m down near the bottom of the Pick 3 table.

Yes, big week next week. By the time Cheltenham starts I’ll be in sunny Arizona. Hopefully I’ll remember to get my picks in for Nathan’s contest each day. Hopefully I’ll get to see some of the races.

Good Luck with your bets today.

My nap in the Pick 3 (Karl Phillippe) was nowhere to be seen @ Sandown. I also had Leoncavallo in my Pick 3. I did avoid him in Pat’s H’dcap contest though. Lots of turmoil already. I have a feeling Malaya could run well, maybe an E/Way pick in the Imperial Cup, although with all the non-runners the odds are a lot shorter now.

    Thanks Graham and Andre… :good:
Have a brilliant time in Arizona Andre and raise a glass or two while you are there and hopefully a few nice horses coming home for you at Cheltenham. See that Epatante and Honeysuckle are now going to take each other on. I have both in my 10 to follow but Epatante is my star girl. I’m torn between them though but just let them all come home safely.

I had one winner today Starfighter at Wolverhampton 9/2 and managed to find the 2nd Miss Heritage in Pat’s Handicap Comp although when I chose her she was 33/1 but with all the non runners she dropped dramatically in price.

Reading after the Lincoln trial that my Nap RISE HALL finished lame I was firstly glad that he is ok but secondly looking at his race thought he was getting ready to pounce and win. I think coming wide around the final bend may have aggravated his foot as he suddenly lost ground just as he was looking to pounce. He is a winner in waiting but has to rest up for a bit now.

Looking forward to next week and best of luck to everyone…Jac :bye:
