Woah Graham you must have felt like Richard Dreyfus in Let It Ride ha ha..the tension must have felt like you could cut it with a knife.
a great story. So glad you had quality time with your son..nothing better.
Here’s hoping for a great finally for all of us today..and I think we’ve both learnt not to desert our favourites but as you said I am so happy that dear old Pablo went the extra mile yesterday and came good for your son it definitely helped ease the pain..
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 1, 2020 at 09:39 #1496004Good luck with Watan and Music Society Nathan
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 1, 2020 at 15:04 #1496059Thanks Jac and Nathan, it was a bit special yesterday and I’m so glad we got it right

Hopefully we can bag a few today. Ive backed as per my competition and after
Tommy G fading in the 1st, I was glad to see Hochfield get me back
on track in the 2nd. I could have done with him staying at the 10/1 I took him at,
the drop to 15/2 lost me a few points. I’m not complaining, it was a nice win and
17 points in the compy. In the 3.00 I’ve got Enbihaar, although way too short for me to consider a bet.
3.35 I took Kimifive at 14/1 ante post, and a little more today
at 12s.
4.10 My nap is Tomfre I think he’s been unlucky in his last 2, I’ve taken 15/2
4.40 Titan Rock at 8/1
5.10 Murad 4/1 and Anythingtoday 16/1 who is better than the bare form
suggests and is a decent price.Good luck all today
August 1, 2020 at 15:15 #1496063Hochfeld was a good winner for you Graham. I was very disappointed with Mordred – his jockey got him boxed in with nowhere to go. Not sure he would have won, but he might have got a place. I’ve got Watan as my nap in the compy as I need a big win to try and get back into the top three. Good Luck!
August 1, 2020 at 15:30 #1496066Cheers Andre, still a good way to go. Good luck with Watan, whoever wins in the Stewards
is going to need luck, it’s a nightmare race but right up my street
August 1, 2020 at 16:11 #1496072Hope you had some E/Way money on Kimifive Graham
August 1, 2020 at 17:16 #1496079Backed him e/w ante post Andre at 14/1
August 1, 2020 at 19:11 #1496087Hope you are thereabouts in podium positions in the Goodwood Comp Graham & Andre I know I’ll be boxed in running midfield with a total of about 158 points.
It was funny I thought I had Johnston’s horses covered in tbe 2nd and then too late I saw Hochfield..and the rest is history as I couldn’t put him in the compy as chose Kings Advice and Themaxwecan

I did have a nice bet on Treacherous the first winner and thought I was off to a good start and then it went badly downhill..
Bad luck with Snow Darren but Enbihaar looked as though she could have eaten her two rivals for breakfast .. what an engine she has.

On to York next so hopefully better luck and can’t wait to see Ghaiyyath again.
Have a good rest of the weekend..
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 1, 2020 at 19:57 #1496091I faded badly over the last two days Jac, I think I’m on 175 pts.
Well done on the E/Way Graham & with Treacherous Jac
August 1, 2020 at 23:54 #1496109Thanks Andre 175 isn’t a bad score at all these comps aren’t as easy as they seem 158 for me.
Anyway I’m sure that you, Nathan, Nick, Darren and and FF and all else who come on here will raise a glass to BigG our Graham who has just become…
GOODWOOD CHAMPION TIPSTER(BIGG🏆)
Storming up the leaderboard, faster than Battaash, on the last day of the meeting and stealing the Cup from the grasps of Mike007 and Wyldesyde.
🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Well done Graham
🐎💨🐎💨🐎💨🐎💨Thought we’d have a low key sort of celebration at Club Meydan Thursdays for you Graham.
while Krypton and Nathan sew the last few sequins on your Crown.🍾🥂🥂🍾Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 2, 2020 at 07:37 #1496116Wow Jac, I could almost hear the fanfare of trumpets from here

Thanks for that “low key” celebration Jac, I feel I should launch into a
“I’d like to thank……” reply, but I’ll spare you that. It couldn’t have
been timed any better if my name was Cieren Fallon. It came down to the last
20 yards of the last race in the competition. Mike was on Overwrite and I was
on Muraad. With a furlong to go, Overwrite was 8 lengths up and going well.
It doesn’t look possible that he could be caught, but cue young Cieren to start
the coolest perfectly timed run that gets up close home. I’m sure Mike must have
been staring at the screen wondering what just happened
I felt when Kimifive had been caught on the line in the Stewards earlier that my
chance had gone, but racing never fails to surprise. It’s been a great weekend for for me and my boy, I guess someone thought we were
due it
August 2, 2020 at 11:35 #1496131Jac, billion took all the sequins for his bingo dress, sorry about that
I do have a ribbon you can have BigG…
I wasn’t going to do the comp of comps this year but will do it now that I’ve had Goodwood off and TKF doing York for me I’ll be able to jot up the totals when I get a bit of time.
I’d imagine BigG will be right up there….
Charles Darwin to conquer the World
August 2, 2020 at 12:14 #1496137No sequins, that’s a bit of a blow
Ribbon would be fine nathan, it’s the
1st time in close to 40 years that that I could just about get one in my hair
August 2, 2020 at 12:48 #1496151Shame you couldn’t post a Selfie of that Graham.😅🤣
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 2, 2020 at 13:17 #1496155Massive well done Graham –
what an exciting finish to the competition! You timed that run just like Frankie did on Stradavarius earlier in the week! What a week for you and your son! Good job mate.Glad Jac put on a quiet, modest; low key celebration for you

What’s this Comp of Comps Nathan? Is it a summary of all the contests run through the year?
