Good for you Nathan! Smart move :good:

The over turning of Havlin’s ban is beyond ridiculous! A disgrace!

I like the look of Perotto tomorrow, think he’ll run well. Need a good day in the Goodwood contest!

Stay Safe & Good Luck All!

Went to bed early but couldn’t sleep so downstairs with a cuppa and some toast mulling over the racing post for tomorrows choices and wondering if I’m mad taking on Battaash with Glass Slippers tomorrow when no less than 14 tipsters have chosen him. Glass Slippers has beaten him in France and always needs a race or two to come to her best..will tomorrow be the day? :good:
I love the fact that she’s out of a mare by Mind Games who was the Battaash of his day, but then Battaash is by Dark Angel one of my favourite sires and I’ll be thrilled to see him win this again..
However for value and because she’s in my Tote stable taking a chance on the Cinderella of the race and going with GLASS SLIPPERS around 9/1 Paddy Power.

Best of luck with Perotto Andre, I haven’t looked at that race yet.. :good: Jac

Nathan your dad would be so proud of you that is exactly the right thing to do with an eye to the future and wish you and Alex many happy and healthy years there.

Reading that Havlin has escaped his ban for careless more like dangerous riding just leaves it wide open now to any jockey to take a chance on squeezing through a gap or knocking a horse sideways to gain an advantageous position. Are they now going to wait until a horse gets fatally injured or a jockey breaks his neck before they see sense..I hope trainers don’t give Havlin the rides, he should put his hands up apologise and do the time … enough said.

I’ve gone for my choices in the competition, but I’m opposing QaQaa Jac with Moomba. He’s 9 lbs better
off and although there was 8 lengths between them, Moomba knew the bird had flown and didn’t
    give him a hard time

Bing bong..what a mess of a race with Ryan Moore almost causing another accident trying to get to the rail on Tilsit.. now what happens after the Havlin shambles ???
So unnecessary he would have won it anyway.

Oh darren VM was so unlucky I thought she would win .. I have picked the wrong Haggas horses all week and my Mark Johnston picks have all looked promising and flopped.
Let’s hope it SNOW’s tomorrow. :good:
Good luck with your choices on the final day. :rose: Jac

I know exactly how you feel with Pablo Jac after buggerlugs here doing exactly the
same with Fancy Blue yesterday. If there is a happy bit out of today, and there is,
it’s that I had a great day with my boy down in London on WhatsApp through the racing.
His partner is over in Greece at the moment and I think it’s been good for him, and me,
that we have been enjoying the races together over the last week or so. He was doing
the ITV7 and he’s no gambler but he put on a £2 e/w 5 horse accum. I didn’t know he had
put on the accum until after the third horse ran and he posted a screenshot of his bet.
He said he had a look at mine and picked the same as me in his 1st race, Tilsit, that
won at 10/1. He had Prompting at 3/1 in the 2nd and Battaash at 1/3. He said he has been
offered £90 cash out with 2 to go. He asked what he should do as he was really pleased
to be getting £90 back. His next 2 were Pablo at 5/1 and Perotto at 5/1. The bet with all
5 correct would have paid out £4278.

I told him I had a good friend on the forum who was a good judge of horses and liked him a
lot. He was unsure what to do so I said let it run and if it goes down I’ll cover your £90.
Well Pablo did the business and of course he asked the next question. Daaaaaaad, what do I
do. By now he was being offered £596 cashout. I had a real look through the race, and also
the betting which showed Perotto had drifted a couple of points and the fav was being tightened
up. He’s not a gambler and there’s no way was I going to tell him to let it run so I said if I
were you I’d cash in, which he did about 1/2 a second later.

I don’t think I’ve even been so nervous watching a race in my life than the next one. Zamanni
was leading with a couple to go but Perotto was coming up the rail and had clear passage in
front until Zamanni crossed over and halted him a little. Perotto pulled out and was closing
in the final furlong but eased in the final few strides as Zamanni had it won. 1 1/2L doesn’t
tell the story, it was closer than that.

I’ve never been so relieved in my life, even though I know that taking the cashout was the
right decision for him, I would have been sick if I had just talked him out of over 4 grand

So although you didn’t maybe get the return you deserved on Pablo Jac, your faith in him
was a big factor in my boy being up the best part of 600 quid, he was ecstatic :yahoo:

You or I didn’t make a penny out of him Jac, but I bet it gave us both a warm glow :good:

What a great story Graham! :yahoo: So glad your son cashed out – it was a tough call, but it paid off for him! You may have a new gambler in the family!

Cheers Andre, I was so pleased for him but I think he’ll stick to ITV7’s and a couple
of quid e/w accum’s. When he showed me the list of the 5 horses I asked him if it was
a straight accum. What do you mean ? came back the reply. I had to explain about including
doubles or trebles and bets like Lucky 15s, which to me are like a bookies pension scheme.
He gets enough of a rush flying planes around the globe and it’s only because he was laid
low with the virus in London that We’ve been in touch every day, and it has given him a
bit of interest as well whilst he’s cooling his jets, no pun intended ;-) , at home. He’s
had a bit of a time of it for 4 months, and he goes for lung function tests next week, but
his CT scan last week showed his lungs were fine so it’s just as a precaution before he can
go back flying. When you’ve got 500 people depending on you, you have to be up the the task.

I saw you had pencilled in Perotto, and I think it would have been very close if the Fav
hadn’t cut in front of him on the rail. He’s one to put in the notebook as an unlucky
    loser. Cheers :good:

Wonderful result for your son BigG and he deserved it after all the issues he has had to cope with lately.
I could have done with the cash-out option years ago before the internet was invented, the amount of mug accas I did as a boy and seeing the last leg go down…
After the story’s of Pablo and Fancy Blue I’ve made sure to have a couple of pound on Music Society and Watan today…
