BANGKOK 4/1 for me in the Lingfield AW race Darren with
    KINGS COMMAND 16/1.. EW :good:
Distance a at bit of a worry with him but feel he’ll be better suited by the surface.

Dubai Warrior too short for me to back and no Dettori on board tomorrow.
Sangarius trying AW for first time after wind surgery..I wouldn’t want to be taking those odds on him either.

    Best of luck
    Jac :good:

Good Luck with your bets today!

I almost picked Thyme Hill in the Pick 3 contest, but didn’t want to jinx him as my picks have been terrible in that contest!! Should be a cracking race with Paisley Park and with bonus points at stake in the TTF! I think Malaya has an E/Way shot in the last at Ascot.

Didn’t quite go to plan with Enricessant, but at least he was a reserve
so still got my 3 to go in the Pick 3 competition

    2.25 Ascot – Portrush Ted 40/1 E/W Paddy Power

He’s had his problems (hind leg) so he needs it soft and he’s got his
conditions today. Still relatively lightly raced, and although it’s
hard to see past Thyme Hill and Paisley Park, I think he has a good
shout of grabbing that 3rd spot, and if either of the big 2 underperform
    you never know.

2.40 Haydock – Lord Napier 17/2 Paddy Power

He’s still learning as a chaser, rated higher over hurdles. Last time out
at Chepstow, after getting a bit outpaced he was making ground in 3rd when
untidy at the last, but finished strong to take 2nd. With a cleaner jumping
round he could be the answer here.

    3.35 Ascot – Night Edition 20/1 E/W 6 places William Hill

He’s gone out in the betting (28/1 now) since I took him early this morning,
that’s probably the reason  , but he looked very progressive when a
good 2nd at the Festival. Only thing is I see Pipe says he could have done with
another couple of weeks with him. Hopefully he’s good enough for top 6 unless
    very unfit.

That’s me for today, best of luck all :good:

I hate it when that happens Jac, nothing worse than when you think you really
should have won it. Hope things pick up this afternoon :good:

What a race, and what a turn of foot by Paisley Park after he looked beat (to me at least). No complaints about the pace of this one. Thought Thyme Hill would just hold on, but it wasn’t to be today.

Good Luck with the rest of your bets Graham!

It was a cracking race Andre, I don’t know how we can split the pair for
Cheltenham. I hope that Portrush Ted is okay, he clearly wen’t wrong, I
assume he was pulled up early. It’s such a shame, he could be a really
good horse if he didn’t have that wonkie leg.

I agree Graham! It will be one of the races of the festival, there’s no doubt. I wonder if Johnson thought he had it won after the last. What do you think? I hope Portrush Ted is okay too. I think he was pulled up on the second circuit.

Well done Darren! Loved seeing Mister Malarkey come good today!

I’m going to resort to using a pin to select horses for the Pick 3 and Handicap contests going forward.

Enjoy the rest of the day!!

Thanks Graham..yes it was so close you could touch it he just couldn’t get him up quick enough..there’ll be other days for Bangkok.

Loved the Paisley Park race and his owners face :rose: realising he had won it..just magic.

Looks like Darren’s bashing his bookies again..well done Darren. :yahoo:

My lucky pin didn’t do it for me today Andre but I’ll give it a polish over Christmas as I will have plenty of time as we in London and the South East enter Tier 4 tomorrow which has thrown our Christmas plans up in the air. Jac

More sad news, it sounds like Ferny Hollow has a stress fracture and will miss Cheltenham.

My lucky pin is a little rusty Jac, but I will work on cleaning it up a little before the big Christmas races.

I heard you were all in Tier 4 “lockdown” again. It’s really no better over here – restaurants defying shutdown orders, people wearing masks to cover their chins, and only their chins. A “leader” who is still trying to find ways to stay in power, even though he lost by over 7 million votes – and politicians who can’t agree on a package to provide aid to people who are in desperate need, yet they have no problem providing billions for other projects and are fighting to be first in line for vaccines, that should be going to frontline workers and the elderly. I think it’s time to move to New Zealand, where they seem to have things figured out. Rant Over!

Sad news for Ferny Hollow Andre but thank you for highlighting his plight so quickly. :good:
Well done Nathan for quickly whipping that cash out of your bookies hands at the speed of light…⚡💣💨🗯 and hoping Ferny H is soon on the mend and makes a full recovery.

Yes..looks like we are all facing the bleakest Christmas in memory and sounds like the US are in just as much of a quandary as we are here.
I’m certain the news of a vaccine was released to act as a sweetener for what the Government knew was coming and with only 350,000 people having had it so far and needing a 2nd follow up jab in 3 weeks I’d be surprised if they finish before this time next year. :

Thank goodness you had an early Christmas with your daughter..I don’t think we will see ours for more than a fleeting moment, but so many far worse off than us, we could be heading for a huge rise in mental health cases next year it’s a worrying thought.

Just off to polish my lucky pin for next week…not working at the moment as my Nap Bangkok went down by a nose on Saturday and that nose was in front after the line..
    Note to Bangkok...
Ask Santa for a nose extension this Christmas ;-) 🎅👍

Just wanted to say thank you to all who have voted for Meydan Thursdays 2020 so far. and hoping before I start the new Meydan Thursdays 2021 on January 1st we can get it to 30,000 views.. never dreamed I would ever have that many and all thanks to you.. Jac

I’d seen rumors about FH a day or two before. I’m just glad I opted to take a chance and not include him in my TTF. Very glad to see that you got your bets back Nathan!

My daughter (a nurse) is scheduled to get her first vaccine shot next Monday. :yahoo: We are still hoping to see my son on or around Christmas Day, even briefly. We found out yesterday that my MiL, who’s in her upper 80’s, was exposed to someone who just tested positive. She’s scared that she’s passed it on to her husband who’s immuno-compromised. Worrying few days for everyone.

I think I’ll take some of the 8/1 on offer for LostinTranslation for the King George – at least in the AP contest. Plenty of good racing over the coming week or so…. lots of TTF points up for grabs too!

Jac, the thread got my vote.
Looks a bit of a race between this and the Juvenile hurdle thread. Last time I looked you were one vote behind
I wonder if someone can unblock Hein for the evening so he can press the button..

Andre, I came out behind as Skybet had blocked cash out but betfair sportsbook let me cash out in the win any race market.
I had him in a few multiples with Shishkin, Paisley Park and Envoi Allen with the 4 of them much bigger prices than what they were when Mullins broke the news…
