Congrats sam spinner backers! Hes a tough horse to pass! Thought i was going to walk that turning in, but couldnt find enough!
December 23, 2017 at 16:03 #1333692bad luck ham. Personally I think L’Ami Surge is best over two and a half !!
December 23, 2017 at 16:09 #1333693Cracking stuff from the winner – I’ve always loved a bold front runner and he certainly fits the bill. Of course the key to front-running is not getting nabbed late on and he seems to have the engine to keep pressing on – “relentless” was the commentator’s word and very apt it was – L’ami had every chance and Harry plugged away gamely for 3rd but a thoroughly deserved win for the young buck

Could be right although i thought he got the 3m no problem today i felt, hes just a tricky horse to win with not to mention hes bumped into one because in hindsight would have walked it without sam spinner
Sam spinner could just very well be top drawer, the two of them buried a deep field. And id be inclined to follow both now, not sure what lami traded in running coming round the bend, i would usually lay off there because it would have likely been very very short, but didnt today as i expected the winner to come back the way.
6/1 is generous for the stayers at this moment, hes just beaten everything hes running against bar NC and supasundae both of which might not be able to touch this one, apples jade is not coming here they say and thats the likely reason you can still get a decent price on SS,
December 23, 2017 at 19:24 #1333736The third should get much closer in March if Fry is in better form then ( Nicholls is another who is well down in single figures at present )
Sam Spinner – what a thoroughly likeable type and a great record so far.
December 23, 2017 at 20:33 #1333738Harry just isn’t as good as a lot of us thought and unfortunately we know L’ami Serge is a bit of a bridle horse. I don’t think there was a Stayers winner in that field but it’s a nice to see connections have their day in the sun.
I suspect Willie Mullins is happier after that race than he was going into it.
