Boz what you think happen to INDIAN MAHARAJA now i think he turn up at the meeting at Chester i do.
And you see PALACE making her debut tomorrow she is at Leopardstown along with JOHANN STRAUSS and KINGSBARNS returns too.
On
Indian Maharaja
Darren I really don’t know what to think. Sunday was a bad idea from the start and he was never at the races. Hopefully next time he’ll go over further but I’d like to think he won’t reappear too quickly. He’s certainly no Derby animal anyway

Can’t see the initial interest in this
Palace
myself but each to their own, we’ll see how she gets on. The other two will hardly be setting any pulses racing by winning the races they’re in although
Johann Strauss
does look a nice type.
April 1, 2014 at 22:11 #473907Time to put my money where my mouth is so I’ve piled right into
First Lieutenant
at last. Coral are top price Burlington Bertie and best odds guaranteed so went for a bit of that. I’ve seen Aintree’s forecast light rain most of tomorrow so I’m just hoping it won’t adversely affect the going too much. Anyway, game on!
April 1, 2014 at 22:22 #473909Have to agree that First Lieutenant is a very good price, the other two ran at Cheltenham with SC running out of petrol and this comes up plenty quick enough so FL comes here fresher and won the race last year. I think Menorah will be the danger if the ground remains on the dry side.
What’s happening with your Ertijaal bet, boz?Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026

What’s happening with your Ertijaal bet, boz?Aye I’ve been champing at the bit to get after him for this since Cheltenham Nath. Just hoping the ground’s on the good side for him now.
Having a mare with that
Ertijaal
bet mate. Long story short I’ve had to write them a letter giving them two weeks to cough up, otherwise it’s small claims court
April 1, 2014 at 23:07 #473914Did they offer you sp or anything.?
gits…

Their counter offers were sp or to forward the £25e/w onto the Guineas at 20s, a price you’d feel hard done by to get now anyway

I’m sticking to my guns though, I won’t go down without a fight
April 3, 2014 at 20:41 #474239It’s getting beyond burnt fingers now. I feel like I’ve been carried out of a burning house covered head to toe in scars
I thought everything was withFirst Lieutenant
today and backed him like defeat was out of the question. Credit where credit’s due though,
Silviniaco Conti
is one tough cookie. Admittedly I hadn’t given him a chance today, thinking a hard Gold Cup run would have him cooked for the season. Not to be though, he guttsed it out and it left me wondering something. Had Noel Fehily ridden him similarly to how Tom Scu crept
Dynaste
into the Ryanair, could he have got up the hill after all? That’s for another day however, for now I’ll sit here licking my wounds over another lost wedge on ‘The Lieutenant’. When will I learn
April 3, 2014 at 20:56 #474243In a bid to redeem myself I’ve taken the 5/1 tomorrow for
Rajdhani Express
. I backed him going right to November for the Paddy Power as I expected big things from him this term. He’s been part of Nicky’s crew that haven’t been allowed out to play in the mud though, although his third in the Ryanair was hugely promising and pretty solid form. He hasn’t had as tough a season as a few of these who’ve been sludging round knee deep in the muck and in conditions that’ll suit him I think 5/1 looks pretty tidy. Come on now Sam, show us you can do it on the Mildmay as well!
April 4, 2014 at 20:48 #474461No joy today for
Rajdhani Express
but in all honesty I really couldn’t care less
Why you ask?Holywell
hacking up and making me blush with my 100/1 voucher is why. I honestly wasn’t that red hot on him today although I did back him in a ‘bit of fun’ lucky 15. I thought he might have had a tough race at Cheltenham and, for quite a slight creature, that might be him done for the season. Not to be though, he really put his Gold Cup credentials on the line today, surprising even me a little. Will he be AP’s final winner in the big one? Here’s hoping

Won well today Boz, fingers crossed.
Expect AP will have a JP runner to ride come March.
Value Is EverythingApril 4, 2014 at 22:01 #474477Point taken Ginge but unless I’m missing the obvious one doesn’t spring immediately to mind. If JP ends up sending a relative no-hoper it wouldn’t surprise me if he allowed ‘old Tone’ what could be a last chance of a Gold Cup. He did let him keep the ride on
Taquin Du Seuil
in the JLT after all.
April 4, 2014 at 22:36 #474486Hadn’t realised how little JP has for fences next year Boz. If nothing else comes to light may be Uxizandre will get a chance at the longer distance. Do hope AP gets on our Holywell.
Value Is EverythingApril 4, 2014 at 22:37 #474487What about the World Hurdle winner? Was he being touted for the Gold Cup?

April 7, 2014 at 10:48 #474891With Aintree still fresh in the memory you’d be forgiven for not noticing the Classics are now less than a month away. Not for this young shrewdy though as I notice my young ‘Star’
My Titania
is going blue this morning and being trimmed once again for Newmarket. 25/1 is a distant memory now and will be even more so when she runs away with the 1000

April 8, 2014 at 10:07 #474971I mentioned this
Munaaser
as an unraced colt to follow on the 14th of May last year. I stand by that prophecy as today he bids to win the race that
Libertarian
took last year on his way to becoming one of last season’s best middle distance animals of the Classic generation. Eyes peeled, he could be worth following this lad.

Next time you see this fellow,he’ll be a Gelding, whether that makes him a better horse remains to be seen but I wouldn’t touch him with your money Boz after todays ‘performance’.
