Mishriff didn’t give weight away. Giving WFA is not giving weight.

July 24, 2021 at 16:03 #1551846AOB not happy with the way the race was run. Didnt look like Love had an excuse to my eyes.
July 24, 2021 at 16:05 #1551847Giving WFA is giving weight. The W stands for weight.
July 24, 2021 at 16:07 #1551849Adayer wow what a battle him and hurricane lane would be
July 24, 2021 at 16:08 #1551850Did love look 100%? Or is she always abit big around the midsection
July 24, 2021 at 16:09 #1551851He really is a tank of a horse. That was impressive – I thought he was pulling too much early on, and it may cost him. Not a bit of it – took control early in the straight, and won nice. To use a cycling term, the strongest won.
July 24, 2021 at 16:13 #1551852Shut up Mike.

July 24, 2021 at 16:13 #1551853Calm down darlin’. Heehee.
July 24, 2021 at 16:16 #1551855I wonder if Godolphin will run Hurricane Lane in the Leger like other Irish Derby winners like Capri and Santiago. ?
July 24, 2021 at 16:22 #1551856Staying neutral on the matter, but one thing is certain and that is Adayar will carry 3 lb more and Mishriff will carry 2 lb less than they did today if they meet again at the end of the year.
Two very smart horses either way.
July 24, 2021 at 16:24 #1551857Whatever happens Mike007 will have the top price plus 2 points. As always.

July 24, 2021 at 16:34 #1551859Mishriff may stay back at 10f. Champion Stakes maybe?
July 24, 2021 at 16:47 #1551861In the Eclipse WFA between 3 & 4 YO colts was 10 lb but today it was 11 lb, is that because it was 2F further or something ?
July 24, 2021 at 16:56 #1551862I wonder if Godolphin will run Hurricane Lane in the Leger like other Irish Derby winners like Capri and Santiago.
Maybe him in the Leger and Adayar in that German G1 12f race that Ghaiyyath won as a 4yo perhaps, then both in the Arc?
July 24, 2021 at 16:59 #1551864I cant see them taking a Derby and king George winner to Germany
Thatd be a very weird move
July 24, 2021 at 17:09 #1551866Or perhaps a drop down to G2 for the Prix Foy or something, as a warm up for the Arc? It would be a pity if both colts weren’t aimed at the Arc.
July 24, 2021 at 17:26 #1551871Of his runner-up Mishriff, joint-trainer John Gosden said: “I’ve always said after winning this race with Nathaniel, Taghrooda and Enable as three-year-olds that they’re helped by getting a lot of weight from the older horses. The winner looks incredibly good but we’ve run an absolute blinder. We’ll head on now to the Juddmonte International.”
I suspect he’ll have another big task there against 3 year old SMB.
