A Sixties Icon two year old from Channon won at Musselburgh on Sunday.
It looked a pretty poor seller to be honest but Jim Goldie thought enough of the winner to pay 5,500 gns for her at the post race auction.
I just compiled the speed ratings for this race and
Vanessa
received a rating of
31
which was very poor, and if you compared the race against the one run the day before,
Storm Moon’s
rating was
68

Mick would never do such a thing
She actually looked like the type ho will win a race or two. 10 bob a week in the cookie jar until she runs in a 7 Furlong handicap at Yarmouth
Well, Mick has blown it this time. Getting Chilworth Icon to win The Listed Woodcote Stakes at Epsom on Derby Day has really messed up the opportunity to win a 7f/8f Nursery with him at Yarmouth or Windsor in September. What was the man thinking about? You would have thought that he has been training long enough to get the horse a proper handicap mark ready for the big hit in September. I’m gutted!
