    Note that a few struggling jockeys and young claimers got more rides today than they have had in the last month! Hopefully a few new working relationships were forged today.

    Very much doubt that was a factor at all, nor should it be, although an odd or two might have found it exciting.

    What are these plenty of upsides of the “Bonanza” you refer to? Hoss & Little Joe?

    What I do find slightly puzzling is why only 2 British racecourses want to race today and only 2 wanted to race last Sunday.

    Don’t be mischievous yeats/stilvi (same person?) – you know I wasn’t suggesting that this was an intentional benefit and you’re twisting my words. That was just a pleasing knock-on effect that will have made a huge difference to a few careers.

    Field sizes were strong, prize money was competitive and attendances across the board were good. You’d have to be a bit of a contrarian to be upset about such a good spread of racing.
