Amazed to see Panic Attack missing this week, assume she’s had a setback. Poor runs since last update for George’s Saint and Hold Up La Colmine. Don’t think I’ll have to worry about backing the latter at Sandown next month
Main hopes at Cheltenham this week are……
Allmankind
Ballyburn
The Goffer……while Val Dancer and Red Dirt Road could be heading to Uttoxeter. Of note this week was Kilcruit serving The Leinster National, and I just wonder if he’s Fairyhouse bound
September 30, 2025 at 06:42 #1740872Sirius
Went the whole Flat Season with nothing catching the eye. On Sunday though, I thought Sirius ran a really encouraging race, after a while out, and whether he remains on the level, or goes over hurdles, think he could come on for that run a lot.October 6, 2025 at 22:59 #1741420Born Slippy
Had a small interest in him on Saturday at Redcar, and though well enough held, I can see me following him next year. Seen enough to keep me interestedHoping to see Sirius on Sunday in The Beggars End
October 20, 2025 at 23:43 #1742666Sirius missed Naas, but out at The Curragh today. Not much of a price, but does look winnable this. I’ll have an interest tomorrow if price holds
October 23, 2025 at 19:53 #1742790Happy with that from Sirius, and surprised to get decent odds on him.
Nice horse to follow, and interesting to see if he goes over hurdles
November 8, 2025 at 15:02 #1744122Smashing run from Johnnywho there lol, and you can take your pick at what the plan is. I’m guessing Kim Muir rather than National, but both reasonable shouts I think. Paddy Power at Leopardstown could be the leftfield shout
Some run from O’Connell at Carlisle last week, and surely wins a fair sized marathon this year
November 18, 2025 at 00:51 #1745003Panic Attack did me proud on Saturday, well pleased with that
Kim Roque
Very hopeful going into the weekend, and not disappointed. A nod on landing did him at the last, but this was obviously a sighter anyway, and take your pick with where he ends up. Loads of optionsHercule Du Seuil
Very interesting ride today, and though it rarely works out this way, I’ve a feeling that Mullins/JP will have him as their Topham horse this yearNovember 22, 2025 at 12:20 #1745262I’m interested to see Kaid d’Authie at Punchestown next. All arms and legs last season, and I think he’ll be getting an educational ride today, possibly with a view to that beginners chase at Leopardstown at Christmas, if he’s any good.
November 22, 2025 at 13:25 #1745274Was interested in that race myself, though I was watching Shuffle The Deck. He founts out of the two, who’s best. shuffle definitely higher end handicaps in the future, but I think Kaid could be a good shout, only beaten by one they rate highly. I liked him there
November 24, 2025 at 01:20 #1745500I put up Hold Up La Colmine back in January as a really promising type for The Bet365 Gold Cup, but didn’t think we’d see him again, after he looked injured at Market Rasen
Added him to the list on Page One after that, but he appeared yesterday at Windsor, and despite a few errors, he won very nicely. There’s more to come I think, and I’m thinking Sandown again
November 29, 2025 at 00:24 #1745893Plenty of them running this weekend, and hopeful for some of them
A Penny A Hundred, and Panic Attack take in The Coral Gold Cup
Good to see George’s Saint out at Bangor this weekend, as he’s my big Welsh National hope, and good to see him appear, just as the entries have came out for Chepstow. Well it would have been even good if he had actually got a bloody entry lol
Fortunedefortunata a big price in The Porterstown
Lots of dirt thrown the way of Ballyburn, but I’ll always have a soft spot for him, and still been a good horse for the thread
Last Chance probably for Lovely Reaction too, Sunday at Punchestown.
Thought I’d bump the list from Page One, and happy with how it’s going

The Goffer – 33’s EW Cross CountryDecember 18, 2025 at 22:41 #1747933Been a while since last update. I’ve watched the Panic Attack race over and over, and was an amazing day.
Kim Roque was less enjoyable on Saturday, and I haven’t watched that race over and over. He was miles off what I expected
Jonghnywho and O’Toole both out Saturday, and though I’m disappointed that O’Toole isn’t going to Chepstow, it’s not really a surprise. Really looking forward to him in particular this weekend
January 15, 2026 at 00:34 #1750508Unbelievable from Panic Attack yesterday, and what a tune Skelton has got from her. I’ve bet her for Ryanair, and I’ll also bet her for The Grand National, but I think there must be a string chance that if she doesn’t go Mares, she may swerve Festival altogether.
Already bet Hold Up La Colmine for Friday at Windsor at 10’s, and I’m hoping this is latest step en route to Bet365 Gold Cup
No Anteposts at all this weekend, as the fields all had multiple entries, so already missed the prices on Johnnywho
Since last update. o’Toole has been poor, and Lovely Reaction now written off
Dedicated Hero also poor over hurdles, but a bit of encouragement over fences at Ayr on Tuesday. Should win some races yet, and enough to keep me following Sandy Thomson for a while yet
March 10, 2026 at 11:58 #1757889First update for a while.
Adding Fishery Lane, as I think he’ll win some nice races.
Been a few runners since last update
First the bad. O’Toole won The QuinnBet Listed Chase, so he’s back on the good list. Would’ve been even better if I had bet him.
Dedicated Hero was rubbish in The Morebattle, and Hold Up La Colmine poor as well
Five of them running this week
Panic Attack the flagbearer for the thread now, but I’m still chuffed with Ballyburn
Ultima – Johnnywho
Stayers – Ballyburn
Pertemps – Red Dirt Road
Kim Muir – Kim Roque
Mares Chase – Panic AttackMarch 16, 2026 at 19:23 #1760243Fairly happy with them at Cheltenham
Johhnywho obviously a highlight, not just last week, but of the season.
Not pocket talking, as didn’t bet him, but great to see Ballyburn bounce back, and he should’ve won.
Kim Roque surely has a big pot in him, and I’ll persevere. Panic Attack was a bit flat. If asked beforehand I’d have said she was a better horse than Dinoblue, but she was well held
No excuses for Red Dirt Road
Only one at the moment to add…………
King Alexander
Thought he ran a decent race on Thursday, and fancy him to pop up in a decent handicap over next twelve monthsMarch 17, 2026 at 15:56 #1760306I like him a lot Bobby, and I think he’ll stay 3 miles. Same nick as Penhill.
March 22, 2026 at 21:18 #1760744I’m happy to see you like him too Grass, always like that
Yeah, wouldn’t be unhappy to see him step up, and hopefully if he reappears, it’ll be Punchestown, but looking forward to seeing him whenever
